August archery couse or Mule desert?

If you are not on or close to water by 4 am you will most likely walk in on someone else at every water source in those Units ....

    Coues or Muley

Still wondering if the Hybrids get more miles per gallon
  3. There is a little cooling period in temperatures and pressure before that hunt starts and being in 36b twice on that late November hunt we ran into only 1 junior hunter past the Tuesday prior to the start... You may be surprised what runs across the road right in front of you at anytime down there ... That being said , look for the nasty High and thicker deeper cuts IMO ... If you find big groups of does you will see a couple small guys usually still, but the big bucks are not going to be that close yet move a ridge or two over ... and like FCW80 said do not shy away from the Muley country

    auction tags

I agree , but also know several guys that have made their wealth themselves and have the kind of money to purchase such tags and every single one of them have businesses set up with a management staff that allows them to do what they like when they like .. A couple already spend half the year hunting various locations around the world... With today's tech no one is separated from their business too long if they do not want to be. That being said who do you think appreciates the wealth more.... The guy that made millions working hard and doing it himself or the guy that gained his wealth through a family estate? I an pretty certain most will say the guy that Did it himself. I like to believe the same is true with the majority of hunters, that the journey and hard work is what makes the accomplishment of earning a true trophy a real success story. Not how much you paid for having someone else do it for you!

How much $$$ to find one?

CnS, with all due respect (cough, cough) You seem to have the biggest problem with hunters that have a varied opinion than yourself or anything that seems to shine an unfavorable light on Guides and outfitters ... I appreciate the hard work that goes into what guides do minus certain things I have always been against. Being a native Arizonan and Learning hunting from my Gramps and Dad I just have a different concept of what hunting in this state is, at least to me, just like bass fishing in this state versus the rest of the country. As Americans, we are entitled to our opinions and you have never been short on insults or trying to bully those with varied opinions from yourself... I appreciate the fact that are state and land turns out so many truly magnificent trophy animals year after year, which seems amazing after more than a decade of CWT members trashing the G&F department and being a bit over critical, anyone reading this forum would have thunk there would be no way to still have quality animals on our public lands. Guides in this state have always been willing to pay for Game Intel and the OP had a valid question... Just because many, like myself would LOVE to see these year long hunters put the blood, sweat, and tears into such an opportunity versus paying for it from people like you and other guides does not invalidate the hard work you do nor the money they bring to our state. Some people just have a difference of opinion. Until you can show a little respect to those fellow hunters, how in the earth do you feel entitled to any respect from them?

How much $$$ to find one?

Nothing wrong with knowing the proper way .. personally I have never thought about disclosing locations other than to friends and family anyways... but good to know if that is required to get paid for finding.

How much $$$ to find one?

Heck, even the guy that gave up Osama's location was paid before he was given a dirt nap ... IMO once you give a guide a location and the quality of the buck/bull is verified in person , they are not going to stop hunting it until it is down ... Intel is Intel .. they guy giving it can not control if the hunter makes the shot
  12. If I recall there was a brute taken in 2013 that was close to 150 but hard horned ... none the less magnificent Buck !

    Coues or Muley

    Face-to-Face with a Mountain Lion

Yeah those females in heat have a sound that makes the hair stand right up on your arms ... especially when they are right next to you ... heard it twice down south in 36b but only once got our eyes on her ... Awesome adventure and Photos ! p.s. next time out you may want to carry a tag and gun to take out Cecila

    Stolen camera

Screw off woody wood pecker .... I will speak my mind as a Hunter any day I feel like it ... LIBERAL now that is some funny BS right there .... It is ignorant Hunters bending and ignoring rules that give hunter a bad name ... IS your vagina hurting .. is it that time of the month for you ? THIS SITE HAS BEEN TAKEN OVER BY MORE WHINERS AND CRY BABIES THAN A HOSPITAL NURSERY ! Notice to Hunters NOTICE TO HUNTERS Tree stands are permitted if they do not cause resource damage i.e. cutting limbs, putting nails and bolts into trees or any other permanent alteration/injury to trees or surrounding vegetation. Tree stands need to be removed after daily use. Tree stands left unoccupied for any extended period of time is prohibited. Title 36 CFR 261.9(a) and 262.13. Currently there is no specific regulation regarding game cameras left in the forest. The forest service does not recommend leaving any property in the forest. Game cameras have been frequently reported stolen. There are new rules for motor vehicle use on the Forest. All motor vehicles must stay on designated roads and trails as shown on the Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM). Driving off of designated roads for elk retrieval is allowed in Game Management Units 6A, 6B, 7E, 7W, and 8; but driving off of designated roads for game retrieval is not allowed under any circumstances in game units 5A, 5BN, 5BS, or 11M. You can get an electronic copy of the map, which shows all of the designated routes here or get a hard copy of the map at any Coconino National Forest office and most of the outdoor retail stores around Flagstaff. The Forest strongly suggests using the map on your Garmin GPS or smartphone. Instructions on how to do this are located here. So this posting FROM the Forest Service is wrong "according to you" hmm sounds like you need to re-read what the FS publishes each year!!!!!! No offense Elkhunter .... Not accurate at all and not the rules ... I posted the national rules on the other thread ... I have not ever said you can not hang them and I have friends that do ... What I pointed out out and as what you posted says They are considered personal property and fall in as abandoned after 24 hours ( up to 72 in some forests) .... There are The Main Rules and Each forest can also have specific rules and amendments ... That is for the Coconino Forest and their way of just saying we told you it was not recommended.... As personal property they also fall into the same rules as tree stands if you are cutting or bolting into live trees and if they are found by FS they will be removed and impounded seen them in the process in 23 2 years ago. You may look at my view as telling others what to do, and that is not the case ... but IMO if you know the rules , you know the type of society that wanders around on public lands you should take responsibility for taking the gamble to up your odds on Hunt week without being surprised and coming on to whine, piss and moan about things disappearing... We have been seeing these threads about missing cams pretty much since the forum started it just gets old seeing the rants and assumptions thrown around year after year attacking other hunters ... There are bad hunters with no ethics out there taking them , I am sure of that ... but they are not the only ones we all know that as well... From now on I will just say "AWE MAN... SHUCKS THAT SUCKS!!! " but of course it will be sarcasm. I know people are gambling leaving anything unattended on public land ....So, I do not really empathize , that is just me. As far as being called names because I have a different view than most, those that know me laugh as I do when they hear I am being called liberal , anti and all the other funny things by so many fine outstanding members ( the ones who lack the ability to debate so they insult). I hope those guys do not aim thier guns as bad as their insults or they will constantly be missing by a mile. So , woody ... It is all good. I do not take anything said here personal. Bad days happen.

Almost every post you make, you are calling people ignorant. You are definately the smartest guy you know. Nope... But I can be one of the biggest Arse Holes I know ....

    Fight for the flag

Is it being taken down and only being flown from Dawn to Dusk ? Or is it lit through the night ... Coming from a military family there are ways to fly the american flag that are considered disrespectful and technically flying the American Flag 24 unlit at night is one of them ... I am all for displaying the American Flag, and will give the first donation to secure the legal permits and build a way to display it properly 24hours lit at night, but if not done proper sorry I would not be in support ... I am sure there will be a lot of ignorant people who do not know there is even a Flag Code associated with the proper way and times to display the Flag .... http://www.usflag.org/uscode36.html
