Not so sure I would want my white azz showing up in some trail cam contest in the non coues funny category. on a serious note ... with the help of his billboard, I do not think it will be to hard to find any of his spots in this area. p.s. Lark you know he probably has pictures of his accomplices too ... The construction worker, police officer, and that Indian chief
-
I just plan on finding this guys spots... Then dropping a toad of a buck right there and gutting it all in front of his camera while using his new Trophy rock to lay my knife on during the process
-
Sorry for the delay... pretty certain that since this was only posted one place the brilliant hunter that lost his bait was telling the rest of the world if you look around in this general area you will find more of my baiting spots. Maybe he should have thought about it harder before saying hey this way to my honey hole.

Yes and Yes.... new tag and license on January 1 2011 is needed

Hows your archery hunt going ?
Str8Shot replied to Harleyfx69's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
100% agree ... 90 + % of water holes and tanks in AZ are published and have roads that run right to or by them. If you are hunting that close to the road the only one you should be cussing is yourself. We were in the cool country the last couple weekends and the Storm Troopers ( that is what my dad calls the big groups of recreational drivers ) were all over the place. Just something you have to deal with on public lands. -
Not being one for using cams or bait, but it your case just move it. look for the heaviest signs of ingress and egress into this spot .... look at surrounding landscape for best possible corridors to bedding areas... look for saddles on any ridges close to the area .... Then move your cam up away from the dinner table he has most likely set and catch them in the cutoff... pay attention to position of the camera so you understand the direction of movement, and if you can find the right corridors set up opening morning catching them between their nighttime buffet table and their bedding area ... But for me I would just save the money and the drama of Uncle Jessie and his clan of mineral lick thieves by not putting one up.

Finally got my 3c tag ... now I know it was not a mistake

I agree with the buck knives and that shop in the mall will engrave them and do a good job
-
Amanda I know that many here are already going and have two in their boat ... but why not start a thread for those interested but have boat and only self matching them up with another that may not have a boat ... also are there any more specific rule set up yet ... like the bag limit ... is it individual bag limit or boat bag limit ... and if so how does that affect single anglers that may be on shore or by themselves in a boat .... Is live bait going to be allowed ... I think this would be great info in preparing for the upcoming weekend
-
If your located in where you can go to one of the Malls then go to the store called Things Remembered they have all these types of things and do the engraving.... I personally like a nice Knife ... think it just depends on what the guys in the party are like ... here is a link to that store may give you ideas ... http://www.thingsremembered.com/webapp/wcs...36__3008?occId=

Kinda like what elkhunter mentioned but instead of pen try a coating of lip stick on the rest and see if any gets transferred to the fletching ... My bro told me about this trick

It is the same as it has been the last 5 years. With the addition of the nice signs that the federal government put up recently stating the safety hazards of illegal activity going on . Seems funny they will put up signs but tell the media on a daily basis is that is not that bad ... the red area in this PDF is the closed area. http://www.fws.gov/southwest/refuges/arizo...DFs/Closure.pdf

1 boat 2 anglers here !

Nothing really when it comes to layers .... you can try the free trial of pro but the details are not there..... It is not just tank names that are no longer shown but also smaller roads ... and most geographic names of mountains ( still a few large ones) , washes , canyons, creeks, flats and the list goes on .... the topo over lay is cool since it has the entire country but has limitations on printing have not figured out yet how to get a good print from it ...

Check out the Vortex Viper line of scopes ... Awesome scopes for under 500 and great warranty and service Talk to Doug from camera land first rate service. here is a link to the 4-12x40 ( bro put one on his 7mm last fall) the reviews I have seen on the 6.5-20 x 44 have also been very good. I am thinking of soon replacing mine with the Viper PST line http://www.cameralandny.com/optics/vortex....texviper4-12x40

Finally got a drawn for a first choice.... I will be up in the 3c for deer this year
-
we hunted down there a couple times and can say that copper creek is a good area but the access is crap and our experience paying and using the mercers roads where not that great of one. Similar sightings and no real shooters.... If I was to hunt there again and stick to the area you speak of I would get real good at locating some good water sources a couple miles in and more specifically any maybe within a mile of the closest ones where you are spotting the does. Set up a base camp and Hike in and cold camp a couple nights at a time. It has been several years but if you have any more questions pm me I will help with what I can

They work and work well... use them in the boat too.... just make sure you remember to turn it off when you don't need it to get the most use ...

He does replica's as well ....
