So I won a 3 day hog hunt in Texas. All paid for except hog gutting and cleaning. They wont let you do it your self. They charge $1 per pound. Has anyone hog hunted in Texas and is it worth going? Its at the Independence Ranch.

Well I need a little insight here. My 9 year old just passed hunter ed. My salvage 243 is just to big for him. I have been looking at some youth rifles. 7mm-08 vs .243. Any insight would be help full. I have heard of people taking a elk with a 243, to me its just sounds a little on the light side. Dont get me wrong you can kill a elk with a 22 if the shot is correct.

I need some new ideas, I have lost 30lbs so far this year. I still have 20lbs to go. Here the problem I am getting board at the gym. I have a steel plate and 22 screws in my right leg. So everything I do has to be low impact. All I do is elliptical, and the bike. Any ideas how I can mix it up.

Well I found out how it broke. It was sitting in a gun rack on the front of a quad and the butt hit the tree. I still think I am gunna take it down and make sure the barrel is straight.

So I have come across a winchester model 70 30-06 made in 1954, the rifle looks to be in good condition but the stock is broke in half. My question is, What is the rifle worth with the broken stock. Is it worth putting a new stock on it?

Well I picked it up $150, I think I got me a good deal.
