    RangeFinder Sling/harness Suggestions

My binos are 8x44 Minox poro prism. I see that these cases are for roof prism binos. I do like the setup, so wonder if there are some options for Poro Prism Binos? Thanks for the ideas!!!

    RangeFinder Sling/harness Suggestions

Yes, thank you for the reply and photos!!!!! With this setup, are you able to gust drop the rangefinder, clip into the loop and shoot, or do you put the rangefinder back into the case?

    RangeFinder Sling/harness Suggestions

I am actually hoping to use this for an archery Elk hunt this year, but for coues later. What I traditionally have done is put it in my shirt pocket and put the lanyard around my neck. It is difficult to get the rangefinder in and out of the pocket quickly. I appreciate the suggestions, as I know there must be a better way to keep it out of the way but yet readily accessible. Thanks again!

    One Sided Rack

I learned a very valuable lesson in late January this year... I was backpacking into a place where I thought I would set up and glass. I was coming up out of a draw when I saw a whitetail doe, and then her boyfriend walked out, stood broadside 30 yards, and stared at me. I was able to pull an arrow out of the quiver and get set up. In the excitement, I had forgotten that I had left my release in my pack, thinking that I would do a spot and stalk. What a bummer!!! Well, sort of. Okay, what about the topic.... Well, the strange thing about this buck was that he only had one antler. It was a very typical 3 point, but only one. I didn't see anything on the other side. Appeared as smooth as a billiard ball. Eventually the doe took off, the buck followed. That's when the mule deer buck I had not seen at all went stotting off. I was floored!!!!! He had been behind a manzanita bush and I was so keyed in on the whitetail that I never thought to look around. A few years ago I was in Oregon and saw some Blacktail that had only one antler and was told that it was a genetic problem. Has anybody seen anything like this in Arizona Coues? I suppose he could have broken it off right at the base? I have several photos of a buck on a trailcam that has both of his fronts broken off, so I know they can break. any thoughts...? Please forgive me if this post belongs some place else... My first post

    How Big?

Yes, thanks Jessie! I do have a Fred Bear bow that shoots well enough. It had better! I just learned that I've drawn an unit 8 archery bull tag. Too bad I am going to be working out of the country for the next 3.5 months! I would be estatic to get a coues with a bow! I somehow seem more effective with a rifle 😕 but even at that I have only ever harvested 1 buck. With no options but archery, this bull tag may just give me the confidence I need. Then Again, I might just fall apart when one comes walking in. Thanks for the advice!

Just wondering if anybody would have any idea what this buck might score? I think both photos are of the same buck.

I am still in total awe of those photos! Out of curiosity, Do the bucks show up fairly regularly on your camera, or is it hit and miss? If it gives away too many secrets to reply, no worries! I am just wondering though, if it is possible to patter a certain buck, or group of bucks, and on average how often I could expect a buck to get his picture taken? Maybe there are no rules? Thanks again for posting!!!!!!

    How Big?

A friend and I were talking a little bit ago. His brother killed one that went 87" this year. It looked huge in the photo! I am realizing more and more that it does indeed take a big looking buck to hit the 100 mark! I really appreciate everybody giving me some insight on this buck!!!!! I was trying to decide if this was the unit to put in for a December tag and then see if I could get luck and find this guy. I think my answer is "no". I know there are some units that do better on average, but that also translates into harder to draw. Meanwhile, the points keep adding up...

That is fascinating!!!! That they could even break of a piece of skull! Ouch!!! I never had thought of the only half of the reproductive organ aspect. Thanks!

Really? I am certainly looking in the wrong places then! This is the biggest Buck I have seen, and I have yet to lay my actual eyes on him. And I have spent an bunch of time scouting!!!!

    How Big?

Bummer! Nobody has said 100. Well, I certainly don't have a clue, but I figured that there would be some that would. Yes Jessie and Jrod, I agree! In my book, it is a shooter! Especially with a bow! Now that would be something, as I have yet to score with a bow!!!
