I have a Bruce Baer thumbhole up for sale or trade. It's set up for a f class bipod, inleted for a Remington 700 SA BDL. Is pillar bedded too, it's for both left and right handed shooters and the barrel channel is for a heavy varmint contour. I'm interested in scopes, especially barrel blanks, etc.... for sale price, just make me an offer. Text is best because of work. 520-732-9019

28 Nosler 30 Nosler 33 Nosler

I've built a 30 nosler for a customer, it was a really nice rifle. Personally I wouldn't build one for myself because of the price of brass. -

Southern xpress on here sells some great ones! I use them often.

They're products are solid! I have noticed that they run a little late on the 6-8 week timeframe though. I had a custom reamer made by them about a year ago and it took around 10 weeks. It was worth the wait though.

Questions on the next setup...what off the shelf platform, various 6.5 options...
Douglas-gun-guy replied to Green Bullet's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
To bad you don't want another full custom. I'm doing a custom 6.5creedmoore on a bighorn TL3 and I'm almost done with a ruger American I barreled in 260 rem with a krieger no #17 heavy varmint. For off the shelf ruger Americans are pretty good. -
CWT group effort Wildcat Rifle build
Douglas-gun-guy replied to Zeke-BE's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Exactly! This way you have the longer neck and proper length right away. Another reason I developed this is because my grandfather was a die hard fan of the 270 win. I love the ballistics of the.264 so after some talking with lance I decided I could make a awesome laser of a rifle off my grandfathers favorite caliber, as the parent case. -

Douglas-gun-guy replied to Zeke-BE's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Turned out beautiful! Glad it got built! I was happy to answer questions and lend the reamer. I'm back to taking work. I'm just running everything through my website now. -
Thanks for the info. I will likely be contacting you for pricing when the funds allow. I won't be in a hurry because I still have the thumbhole that I will bed and free float until I can get the Manners. REALLY like that Manners thumbhole.im here to help!

Yeah quite a wait. Seems like the only quick way to get a lighter weight stock for the model 7 is one of the mdt chassis, they make a couple for the model 7. I would add a folding AR stock adapter too. And a lightweight AR stock and good to go! McMillan makes some good ones too!
