Thanks for the info. I will likely be contacting you for pricing when the funds allow. I won't be in a hurry because I still have the thumbhole that I will bed and free float until I can get the Manners. REALLY like that Manners thumbhole.The Answer is yes they inlet for it. They're 6 months out on stocks.

Yeah quite a wait.6 months!! That's why I use HS stocks. Those manners look sweet though!!
Seems like the only quick way to get a lighter weight stock for the model 7 is one of the mdt chassis, they make a couple for the model 7.
I would add a folding AR stock adapter too. And a lightweight AR stock and good to go!
McMillan makes some good ones too!

I will definitely do that if I go that direction. The Manners can be inletted for a Remington Model 7 with a hinged floor plate, correct?

I love that stock! I may just go with my laminate thumbhole to start working up loads and put one of those on order. I am hoping to get the rifle back by the end of February. It all depends on when the reamer arrives.The Manners EH-2 I just put on my 7RM weighs 1lb 9oz. (25oz). Just giving you another wrench to throw in the works of your decision making. Plus it is super sexy looking too. Just waiting until after Christmas to put some new lighter glass on it.

Another reason I developed this is because my grandfather was a die hard fan of the 270 win. I love the ballistics of the.264 so after some talking with lance I decided I could make a awesome laser of a rifle off my grandfathers favorite caliber, as the parent case.
