I have a full sized Remington 1911 with wood grips. Great gun I bought it two years ago and shot it a lot. But have gone to the dark side and switched to .40 cal..

If hes not an ffl than he cannot finish machine a lower for somebody else. You can only do it for your own personal use. We just had some work at our shop get sent to someone else due to this fact.... and they did terrible work.
Contact speedygoss. He just opened a machine shop.Anyone know where to get an 80% lower milled?
There are jigs available for you to finish it yourself with a hand drill, there was a couple guys selling them at the crossroads gunshow when I went a couple years ago.

I'm the guy Lance did this one for. I absolutely love it!Worked into the night, and again this morning.
Base of khaki
Added some dark taupe and nutmeg
Then some oregano and sage
Got up early this morning and masked the patterns and hit it with some nutmeg, warm caramel and light brown speckles.
After a few hours, I masked the blocks I wanted to leave brown, and hit rhe others with some sage, oregano, and forest speckles. Let it dry for an hour and stripped all the masking and hit it with 3 coats of matte clear.
Great color scheme!

they're standard 6.5-06AI 40° dies. Lance ground the shellholder down, for FL sizing.What dies are you using for this round? Assuming they had to be custom order dies?
We will have custom dies made.
Wanted to prove the concept.
