@OP That's awesome. Good luck on your hunt. I got drawn for the same area and same time frame. I am hoping to land my first elk. I really don't care which one I just want to fill the freezer. I went up there a couple of times already to check out the burn area around Happy Jack. Also to scout east of Turkey Mtn. Going out next weekend to camp and scout.

I think I saw you. I was in the blue dodge. Thanks again for your help/info if it was you I went to the burn area that weekend as well and only saw squirrels. No sign of anything. They said this area was just contained at the end of June. I am going to go out there next weekend to do a camp/scouting trip. I do want to make my way to the outer edges of the burn to see if there is any activity.
