I think it is propably a little light for coues. Im not very familiar with the 20 cal bullet weights, so i dont know how heavy you can go. But with the factory weights I would have to say that it is too light.

I had no idea someone else signed up as 300 wsm. Thanks for pointing that out Ernesto.

Those are some very nice bucks thanks for the photo. -
Hey coueschaser I buy mine from our local archery dealer here in showlow Timber Mesa archery. So Im sure you can buy them at many other sporting goods shops.

I have found several nice elk sheds this year, and have seen several bulls that still have their horns.
-
Yes I have hunted over the trophy blocks and the salt, and I get more action on the trobhy blocks. I also have a deer cam out over an elk lick, and I have both trophy block, and salt out their, and I have not yet got a picture of them on the salt, but have many pictures of them on the trophy blocks. Not saying that salt dont work, I still use it because it is much cheaper.

Treestandman said it right, they are a natural block that comes from utah. They look like a plain old rock, but they have natural salt, and minerals in them.
-
I use trophy block, and crushed salt, and it seems that the deer like the trophy block better, and the elk like it better too. I get action on both but the trophy block seems to attract the quite a bit better.

Alan this is an awsom web site and Im sure you are going to enjoy it. Everybody here seems to love to hunt, and they all have a special love for the coues deer. I am from Pinetop Az and work for Pinetop Water, as a system operator.

Hey Bret congrats on a couple of successful pig hunts. They both look like some big pigs.
-
So who won the mexico coues hunt? and how many raffle tickets were sold?
-
Good luck in the draw this year couesbitten, and like Ernesto, and coueshunter said let us all know if you get a tag.
-
I think you should stick with 36C. It is a great unit, and you have hunted and killed their before, so you know the area a little. That way you wont have to spend as much time learning the area, and more time hunting. Craig

Sounds like you had fun. At least you got to shoot at one, and you seen some more. Plus just seeing all the deer makes it worth it. Were the deer whitetails or mulies? Good luck next thursday.

Wow nice buck Andy, and with a bow makes it even more exciting. That is very good that you were able to spot and stalk him.

My wife and I just got back from unit 27, and both of us harvested javelina. We were having trouble finding them in our normal area, so I called Scott Adams and he brought us into his area where we both killed. He helped us glass for them on saturday afternoon where he glassed up several pigs and that is when I killed mine. The next day my wife and I glassed up a herd at 11:30 AM and she killed at 12:30 with a broadside shot at 20 yds, and she blew right threw it.

Hey great bucks guys that is awsome that both of you tagged out, Ill bet you are both very proud.
-
Man that is a super buck. I want to hear the story just like crazyaboutcoues.
-
T.J. congrats on your buck, any coues with a bow is a real trophy. The way I glass is to pick each hilldide or ridge apart in a grid pattern, by picking everything apart. I dont know what kind of binos you have, but I have done it with cheap bushnells for a long time and now I own a pair of docter 15x60's and man what a difference. It is much more pleasent to glass with quality bino's.
