If you want performance you will pay with barrel life. I have a rifle getting finished up called 6.5 sin. Ballistically it's quite a bit faster then the 26 nosler but it what I want. A 160 matrix bullet at nearly 3600 sure intrigues me.

id put money on it that my guns recoils have of your 300 winnie. and i shoot plenty of coues deer with a 300 grain bullet

To me i see no point in shooting small calibers after seeing roughly 15 animals fall to a 300 grain bullet there is no looing back

i have a 6-24x50 viper pst according to the calculator my scope maxs out around 1550 yards

Having work for marc plunkett for to close to 5 years now when we show people what closed mouth looks like they always change there mind. Go look at some taxidermists mount and decide for yourself... that's just my opinon

i would highly suggest mouth open i think rugs mouth closed looks strange.
