Hello, my name is Dave. I was drawn for late elk rifle 2018 unit #9. I have never hunted elk in az.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all, my name is dave. I drew late elk unit #9. I have never hunted az elk, only Colorado.

I plan to make several scouting trips. I plan to have a couple of plans in place for shifting weather patterns.

 

My map recon shows 9 to be big and flat (so glassing will be a challenge)

 

Any incite would be greatly appreciated. My guess is the bulls will be tight in the draws/canyons.

Hello all my name is dave. I drew a late elk tag in az unit 9. I have never hunted elk in az. (Colorado hunted). Any help would be appreciated as i plan to scout at least once a month. Inwould like to have a couple of plans put together for changes in weather. From what i gleaned from my map recon the area is big and flat.
