  1. Make sure you check you tie down straps to make sure they are good. I lost my Polaris Ranger today off my trailer. Lucky for me it turned out to just be a heart attack. I was out on a dirt road and driving slow he king the side hill across from me for bear. It is covered in prickly pears. I had just told my kids if this guy in the ranger did not stop tail gating me I was going to stop and beat him up. My son said dad that's the ranger on our trailer.hahaha that was the funny part. Then about half a mile over the hill I look in my mirror and to my horror my ranger has stopped tailgating us. Right away my mind goes to the huge hill I had just over and see visions of my ranger over the edge in the bottom of the canyon. I leave my wife and daughters with the truck and my oldest son and I take off running. Me on my healing broken ankle. We come up over the next hill and setting there at the bottom smack dab in the center of the road was my ranger. All do to a broken strap. I usually put a strap on each corner. this time I only had two straps. So it was not a good thing all the way around. jUST CHECK THOSE STRAPS.

  2. We went back and forth over our second daughters name. Even after she was born she was known in the hospital as baby girl Goodman. Until righ at the last moment my wife said we are going to change things up and name her after her dad. Well now all they knew me at the hospital as was the name on my wrist band. That is Thomas Goodman. The nurse said oh how special will you just call her tommy, knowing Thomas just would not work well. My wife said no my husband goes by his Middle name "Jade". So she will be Tatum Jade Goodman. So we call Her Tator tott. Haha. But anyways I like have one of my daughters holding my name and out anitials are TJG. We had girl, boy, girl, boy.

  3. Another thing is if that dog is on the side of the highway eating road kill that collar may have a dead battery. The new gps collars do no last very long when it comes to lost hounds. If its an old tracker type then the battery may still be good.

  4. Oops pushed the button to fast. My father in law has a stock rhino they are smaller so they can fit in a truck bed if you needed it to. It can go into some tighter spots, but the roll over danger is much higher because the wheel base is so short and skinny. Wheel spacers are a must for safety. The seats are way comfortable. It is a rough ride and rattles very bad.

My neighbor has a stock arctic cat and it is trash in my mind. Fills like a kids toy. It rattles more then the rhino. I hate the square tube cage. It has a very high center of gravety and the seats set way to high up. They do make a new one. Ow that will seat three riders up front and the center of gravity is much better an seats are set lower.

They are all nice for a hunting tool. I'm sure you will be pleased with what ever your choice is.

  5. Hounds are ment to hunt. You will never take that out of them and a Plott is very hard headed and driven that's why they make such great bear dogs. Like Randy said a chain is about all you can do. A friend of ours has had great success with the collar that works with the wirless fence set up. There dog got out of everything they could think of. It tried to get past that fence twice. It will never try it again.

  6. Hey I have the sparkly red one to. Mine is a 2007 700 xp. I will tell you I you get the Polaris you will not regret it at all.I have put close to a thousand into it this week. I had to get new tires a windshield and then my drive belt broke. But it has 2600 miles on it. I was told this week to not use 4x4 in high gear that heats and stresses the belts. I have only used the ranger and rhino and I will go ranger hands down every time for my needs. When I put the rear seat in I fit all six of my family in.

  7. No I did not fall thru the cracks. I just purchased the white Rhino with the sticker on it already. And it had a cracker jack box in the glove box. Well in that cracker jack box was a neatly wrapped prize and inside that prize was my very own guide license. Don't be a hater of THAT GUY.

  8. Did anyone else see the story of the teen in Florida that lost his right arm in a gator attack in Florida. The king of the swamp had his chance to say how important it is to hunt and keep the numbers in check not only for the people but more to insure a healthy population of game animals for there own sake. Very well said on the subject.

  9. Took the family up Tripp canyon a week ago. We went as far as the ranger cabin and the look out tower. Then the kids wanted lunch so we went back to a spot we saw to have a nice lunch and then headed down the canyon. I want to go back up and ride it out to the end. I did it when I was young in my dads old jeep, but do not remember how far the road goes past the look out tower. Can't figure how to post photos from my I phone.

  11. The one south of the mountain is burning big time right thru the heart of coues deer country. The on on the north side has not grown very much. But I have watched it all day and have not seen one chopper or air tanker drop a single load on it. I know the area is rough and steep. But come on. In Alaska if there is amok they hit it with a crew and kick its butt. Down here it has to destroy everything and burn for a month or more. I know we have wild land fire fighters on this site so Please don't take this wrong but in the lower 48 it takes to dang long to get things started. This fire on the north has not grown much at all so why not hit it now and put it out while it's small don't wait for it to grow.

  12. I thought I saw smoke also. I'm going to go out and take a look. I don't see anything now. I know the wet stones are burning. My brother was up there all day moving cattle off the mountain. They fired the first crew for letti g it get out of hand and send them back home to the east coast.
