guess Im kind of torn,every year we go thru the process and we all keep coming back for more......there has to be a way to have your bonus points count for more than they do now ,but a true preference system with the amount of people applying would be a tough road ,wouldnt get drawn more then a few times in a lifetime....I love hunting and am getting on(52) hunted my whole life and would hate to think the tags would be that limited,still it is frustrating to have 13 antelope pts and hope that Im not 70 before i draw,someone suggested more of a cap for people with the most pts ,that would seem the fairest,would still give luck a chance but am thinking maybe 50% of available tags for those with the most bonus pts and luck of the draw for the rest,at least it would feel your points after all those yrs might actually get you somewhere,just a thought .....hope not to long ,good luck to all,(after a 5 yr wait did draw 6A muzzleloader bull elk and 12BW deer,still waiting for that elusive lope tag),

drew a 6A muzzleloader bull tag,12BW deer tag,and archery javalina tag....evry thankful.should be an awesome yr....good luck to all

glad the results are fianlly out....going by credit card hits was tough,anyway got 2nd choice on both elk and deer am stoked ,still great draws...12BW for mulie,and 6A muzzleloader for elk,got a javalina archery tag in unit 31 in sept too...good luck to all

I wont keep posting just wondering if anyone has any real solid info as to when we might get the reslts,I know alot of ideas about ccs being hit and what not,just wondering if anyone has had any contact with anyone in the know......thanks

I keep waiting in hopes something might happen(another round of bud)hard to keep chin up ,but am hoping its true that only 1/3 of the ccs have been hit so far.lets see,12 bonus points for antelope and sheep,10 for buffalo,7 for elk,4 for deer.....sure hope there is a tag with mine name on it out there ,good luck to all and lets just get this over with...

Nov is here and I hope some of you were lucky on the early hunt,I have a tag on San Carlos this Nov and was hoping for some general info,dont want anyones secret spots .I usually hunt unit 31 and have taken nice deer from there,thought this year I would try something different.Was a good Idea because I did not draw a thing,still not complaining too much,am excited about a new adventure.hope to here from anyone with any info,thanks Steve H

havent been here in awhile,am waiting for Nov coues season on San Carlos,never too early to start gathering info,would appreciate any info without stealing anyones honey holes.first tag on San Carlos for coues,just tired of not being drawn.had a bear tag in unit C on res,early hunt,rained the whole trip but was awesome,saw five bear,lots of elk,two briusers over 400 didnt ger close enough for a shot,saw 3 others about 250 100 yards away from one didnt shoot,only want one bear want it to be a big one,anyway am rambling,really hoping to score on San Carlos this Nov,happy for any info where to start,thanks.........Steve

Bret,thanks for responding,the tag are for mid Nov,its 40 tags for A,B,orC ,only units cant hunt in are 100c and D.any info would be much appreciated,thank Steve

I know this is for us coues hunters ,but we all hunt what we can when we can ,especially this year.I didnt get to draw any of the coues tags I put in for but did buy some tags on the San Carlos reservation.one coues tag(nov),one turkey tag(nov),and one bear tag(aug).the bear tag is in unit C and runs Aug 7th thru 22nd.Was a big investment,but am glad due to the lack of any other tags this year.Long story short,I would appreciate any help anyone would like to offer up,not wanting anyones honey holes,just some guidance and direction.I am a working guy with not alot of time to scout.Also anyone from Gobe or Safford let me know if youve seen any prickly pear fruit growth yet.hope its ok to post this,even if not about coues. Just a turkey tag in 6a,but did get 3 tags on San Carlos last January,looking like a good investment now ,have bear tag in unit C coming up next month,and a Nov Coues tag also another tukey tag,could use some help with any info on San Carlos.good luck to all,hopefully more tags to residents as you all check.Steve

results are in I got a turkey tag ,guess this was a good year to buy the coues and bear tags I bought on San Carlos,hurt when I did it,dont spend that kind of money on tags often,guess now it doesnt hurt so bad.going to have to get a calculator to add up my bonus points,hope eveyone gets their tags.Steve

ok boys and girls,they just posted the list of names for those who got the extra tags,dont know if this is a goof by game and fish or not,but there is a list of names on the home page on the last note dated todays date.Steve

Amanda,nice to see your post,there does have to be a way to make our point in a calm,collective way,as far as fair for Arizonans,lets make the bonus points really count for something.multiple pulls for the draw isnt much of a bonus system,even though 10% is held for the most points.use that system to help ,we all apply every year as opposed to out of state hunters who may or may not.need your imput on something else so email me at your convenience,still have some coues pics I want to post here but arent scanned,need to mail them to you,lost your last email before i could read it.thanks Steve,good luck to all in the draw when this is resolved

Buster,glad you could join us,or if like the rest of the cut and runs,you probably dont have the guts to return.if you can read ?many of us are avid hunters and love YES LOVE(hard concept for you Im sure)ALL the wildlife in Arizona ,and yes the whole country,problem is you just dont get it.Im ok with having my brothers from other states get the lions share of tags in THEIR states,I apply for tags there also,believe it not for more than just coues.(have you ever done anything for wildlife besides poach off of others ),just curious,trying to keep this civil,but hard to with guys like you.anyway,am drifting,I abide by the rules and ethics(hard word for you ? ) of said states and respect thier systems.I guess its hard for you to understand passion for this ,try taking the silver spoon out of your mouth and if shown maybe could learn that real hunting doesnt involve money grubbing guides like USO,its not just about tags ,its about how you jerks approach the whole concept of hunting.I would say your ethics lack,but I dont think you people have any to start with.Steve

there seems to be alot of wisdom and passion in these posting,after venting ,the only way to really count is to organize,anyone know how to contact all groups and get everyone (hunter) in Arizona on the same page,we support hunting and have a duty to see it survives in this state for the citizens here ,not rich money grubbing guides(USO),I am a lifetime member of the elk foundation,NRA,Arizona deer association member,and Arizona elk foundation member .......there has to be a way to get everyone invloved.....open to any oganizing ideas..........meeting is at the fairgrounds at noon today,stiil dont quite get what a phone conference can acomplish ?
