Good assessment, my buddy and I were there 4 days last week. It was pretty windy in the afternoons which somewhat limited what we could do, but the mornings were on fire, and we still caught fish in the afternoons, just not where we really wanted to be. As mentioned, shad nearly everywhere, and the topwater bite was good in the mornings until 9-10:00 when the winds got going. Fish are very healthy. I kept a limit of 1-1/2 pounders the last day for dinner and half of them still had eggs.

You don't get one in the mail but you still have to physically tag your kill in the field. And since they don't send you a tag now you get to make it yourself, so carry some tape and a marker in your pack. I'll pass. They can just send me mine.

Same here, me being one. This draw is definitely different than those of recent past. I like it. And I like G&F keeping all the know-it-alls looking silly. This will be my 8th elk tag in the last 10 years.
