I was on the San Antonio Fire (firefighter by trade) and all it did was burn up mostly grass which will grow back greener and better for the deer, the deer love the burn areas. As for how it was caused i think its still under investigation.
I got my girl friend a Mathews Ignition 4 Xmas, It'll go up to 50 Lbs. She wants to hunt this fall.
I was wondering what arrow-broadhead combination will help her have a successful hunt-pass through and clean kill an such low poundage.
any input is apprieciated
thank you
she'll have no prob w/ shot placement.
the reason i ask about the thunder heads is that traditional folks and light poundage folk seem to favor the 2 blades for better penetration
Specs are as follows
Mathews Ignition
will be 50#
25 in draw
Gold tip 35 55 expeditions
ive got loads of the Thunder head 85s
cant wait to be gettin and givin the high fives later this year
if theres any other cosiderations i should know about.........hit me up
i really apprieciate all the info
thanks
Rob
I know this is kinda off subject here but I'm lookin for a Mathews Target bow for a buddy. If any of you all got any thing like this you want to get rid of holler at me.
Thanks,
I like the .223 for the options. you wont lose that much velocity over the 22-250, but its easier on components and powder. And with a good load you still drop'm dead and save the pelt
I appreciate the help, and hope to use the insight to nail one down.
Also are you guys using them over water holes, trails-funnels, salt or what. Any input would be apprieciated
Thank you
Got a pig and a Mearns Bird. Called them right in. Calling worked so well they almost attacked my buddy who was kicking and cursing at them. Got them back to the truck so late that we had to take the pictures with aid if the headlights.
