Hey Houston. Well, after you get all yer student loans paid off from dental school, you can become one of my collectors, then I can pay off mt student loans!! Glad you like the sculpture. I may do another one and make an edition. I'll put them in the Coues Store, and give a big huge discout to Members. Well, good luck on your one day hunt!!>>Jason -

Burro Mountains in unit 23
Foundry Man replied to Rick 3's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
Rick 3,..... Where do you live? I drew the November Rifle Coues hunt for the Burros. I have put about 200 miles on my pick up (and I LIVE in Silver City!) and about 25-30 miles on foot since I found out I drew the tag. I have picked up several sheds and seen some nice bucks (before the rains started). I can tell you this, it ain't going to be a sure thing. There is alot of country out there with LOTS of little canyons for deer to hide. Scouting will be the most important thing that you can do if you want a nice deer. Don't think that just because it's the Burro's you will be able to drive out, park your truck and kill a 90 incher before noon. I don't think I'll ever draw this tag again, so I'd be willing to share some info with you after my hunt, IF I knew you put in some scouting time on your own. Good Luck, and congratsd on the tag>>>Jason -
Ok, Ok, Ok, I just had to ask!>>Jason

First attempt at digiscopeing
Foundry Man replied to IHunt2live's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
All the pictures I have posted on here were digiscope picts (see "cute little buck") anyway, you can get a pretty in-exspensive camera mount at Sportsman's or even in the new Cabela's for about 50 bucks. They will help you take WAY better pictures.>>Jason -
Got a nice picture of this little guy the other day. I think he still has milk on his lips!! Enjoy!!>>Jason

Any dutch oven cooks out there?
Foundry Man replied to Foundry Man's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I grew up cooking in dutch ovens. It sure beats pork and beans. Thom C, here is one for you, Dig a 2-3 foot deep hole in a dry wash next to your hunting camp. Build a nice hot fire in it at lunch time. Put a London Broil or two in your oven. Put some carrots, potatoes, lots of onions and garlic and season it up how you like. cover it with water or beef broth. Or, if you feel creative, put a big can of green enchilada sauce in it! Put the oven in the hole (1/2 the caols on top of the oven and half underneath, then bury it. When you get back to camp that night, you will have some good eats!!! >>Jason -
Size doesn't matter, right guys? Right? Come on, tell me I'm right! Anyway, this is a cute little sucker!>>Jason

Yeah, I knew there were some high quality genetics in the Burros, and this shed proves it!! I am stoked now!! This is prolly a 3 or 4 year old buck! I just hope he steps out in November!!

UFJC 75 - Must watch vid
Foundry Man replied to jamaro's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Yeah Man! I lived in Silver City for a few years (1999-2002), during that time, I got to be real good freinds with Wayne Billings. After I moved away, we stayed in regular contact. He even came over to Arizona and elk hunted with me for a week. Now that I am back in town, he is really the only dude I know. Maybe we could all get together and grill some meat. I live out in Bad to the bone, Tyrone. -

Jason, Are you a UFC fan? My wife and I went to UFC 63 (Hughes vs. Penn) "the count" Micheal Bisbing sat right behind us! He spilled his beer of my wife, during the Pulver/Lauzon fight (if you could call it that) Anyway, we love the Octagon!>>Jason
