Of course, I wouldn't miss it. The only other option is chasing big, stinky, ugly, nasty and HEAVY elk around, not even a choice. How about you and your brother? I'll post some more bucks when I get a chance.
-
Here is a few bucks over the last few years.
-
Dang, Jason I did'nt know you knew what those things looked like?
-
Been there lots. Go through Jacob Lake to get there from flag then to Fredonia then West. I would like to hear how you do on the hunt. It will take you from now until the hunt starts just to find a place to start if you have never been there before. Pray that it is dry and find water and sit it in the middle of the night on a full moon then after maybe 2 weeks you'll see one.

I would have to see more of that bull but it looks like a bull that I keep getting pics of in 6aw.
-
Here is another photo of him a few weeks ago, I have some from the past 3 years also I might be able to find. I saw some guy try and feed them yesterday by hand, while he was talking to them. Needless to say they did'nt eat out of his hand, nut did'nt run either. These people are always parking in my buddies driveway to take photos, he swears he's going to chase the elk off to keep the people out.

Good call sdrhunter not the same bull, this is a diferent bull but he is always there almost looks identical to last year except the kicker and the g2.

Rule out Fox Ranch because it's going to fold $60,000 HOA annual, ya right. Only 2 house under construction and they have been abandoned. Maybe they will stay afloat doing weddings at the club house, it is nice.

$300,000, Munds Park, Kachina/Mountainaire or Parks a few houses in Bellemont under that mark recently. Good luck.

Looks like a female to me, tough to tell from that angle. Small head though.

Great looking bull, is he all by himself or other bulls coming also? Have you got any cows at that spot? -
Here are a few bulls from yesterday, looks like they are getting the feed they need. Horn growth is looking good. I'll put some more picks up of these soon.

I guess after that test you better go with the T-locks, especially if you're all about deep penetration ( in targets that is). Not much bone in those targets either. Slick Trick only way to go.
-
For sure not a muley. Who knows if it's a coues though, I would imagine only him?

Here are the hogs I got in Cali a few weeks ago, it was awesome and one heck of a tough hunt. 3 days to get a shot, I tried with a bow for the first 2 days no luck.
-
Just got back from California, had a great time. It was a tough hunt, very steep and those hogs do a lot of moving. They don't stand around very long and once they get into the oaks it's over. Glassing was great but once the stalk started they were gone. Finally hooked up on the last evening I was there. Can't wait to go back. Jason

We made it back from our San Carlos hunt, and it was outstanding. We hunted 7 days and saw over 45 different bucks. We got one opening morning two the 4th day and one the 7th day. No complaints the entire hunt was a success, can't wait to go back. 440 yards opening morning 257 mag. 4th day, mine is a clean 4x4 found him 2 days before and finally found him again about a mile away 380 yards 257 mag. The other one walked out about 50 yards from were mine dropped 15 minutes later while we were still glassing and was shot at 430 yards with a 300 short mag. 7th day buck, we had a 100 " buck bedded and we were waiting for him to stand when this on walked out at 430 yards, warbird laz. I was ranging some distances in case the shot didn't connect with the bedded buck when I saw this buck in the range finder ripping up a tree, what luck, the bedded buck was pretty fortunate that day.

We saw plenty of lion sign, but no lions. Last time we saw 3, 2 big Toms and a female. We had to go to the office and pick our lion tags up, they never did send them in the mail but no big deal. The tag was $1500 and this year they lowered D east and west to $1500. Well worth it with the little amount of hunting pressure you see which was none. The way the tags are given out is the only issue I see.
-
The bucks range from 93" to 104", we were hunting unit A were we heard the all the good bucks were gone when we bought the tags, not the case. Good friends good times and an outstanding time. We could'nt have been so successful without each others help that's for sure.

I am putting together my first trip to Alaska, and seeing if anyone recommends an outfit. I want to go for sitka blacktails and do some fishing at the same time. I want a chartered boat that you stay on and fish on. I have heard that some drop crab pods for fresh crab dinners. If anyone has gone and would recommend anyone in perticular let me know. Thanks
