19.50 for pending so I guess I got a deer tag.
-
That doesn't make sense.....i hope it's true for your sake, but they shouldn't be runnin' cards yet. my guess is they were running their tests and actually tested the whole system from start to finish using some actual apps and successful hunters and you happened to be one of them. I would bet thats it, but who knows? JIM> Yes it does make sense because since they have to know that your card will go throgh before issuing a tag. If it doesn't, they will give your tag someone else

If it wasn't for the NRA, we'd all be bow hunting

If you can't make up your mind, check them both out. I personally know a rifle shooter (he's at the range 3 to 4 times a week) uses Joe exclusivly. Joe has replaced many barrels for him.

Yes, Joe at Lawson's

It's my understanding that the Meriams Elk is unproven to ever exist????

This is a job you can do yourself. Get a book and do it yourself. The clutch is easy and so is R&R the compressor. I am assuming the compressor just leaked and didn't grenade. Get a new compressor and not a rebuilt one. new one will go for $400. Have it sucked down and filled by a pro who has an AC machine.

You may want to wait till Fall when quads sell better.

I look through both the 10-15 leicas and the 15x56 swaros and ended up choosing the swaros. I use a semi compact 10x42 (leupold pinnacles) for my neck bino. Works well. The Leica 15X56 is $2,500 which prices me out.

which of these for elk
Diamondbackaz replied to firstcoueswas80's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I use the 180 Nosler partition out of my 06 for Elk and wouldn't change a thing. It has been a proven bullet. If I did change it would be the accubond. -
I have a friend that swears by it.

If you want Rifle work done go to a rifle smith, go to Lawson. A rifle shooter friend of mine goes there all the time. Lawson Harry Gunsmithing Co 3328 N Richey Blvd Tucson, AZ 85716 - 1412 -

I don't see a shadow for the right drop tine

1 1/2" can still provide an adequate Kill zone. Human error is a bigger problem out in the field since you don't have the controlled situation you have at a gun range.

Developing the whole countryside
Diamondbackaz replied to JVS's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I stand corrected, I see that you are talking about the private land that is about a section in size that Diablo peak is on. Actually that piece has been private for a long time and was probably sold as part of the Sopri Ranch. I have been waiting for this ranch to be developed for about 10 years now. I had thought that you were talking about all the land around there. The important thing is that Red Spring pass and the raod north of Diablo stay open. -
Developing the whole countryside
Diamondbackaz replied to JVS's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Wrong, please look at a forest service map or BLM map, and you will see that Diablo is on both State and forest land. The access through Chavez siding is a public access and will remain open. The access through the Sopri Ranch has been closed -
Developing the whole countryside
Diamondbackaz replied to JVS's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Let me chime in on this since I have worked for the Forest service. Access is a problem and is getting worse. JVS there is no state or federal law that requires a private land owner to provide any type of access to public lands with out just compensation. Pima county has an an ordinance that can require land access as a part of a zoning change. Keith, it isn't as easy as it sounds to build a road around private land. There are EIS's that have to be done, and then if you have to deal with the state land department, it gets even more difficult. -
