Remington 600's, 660's and mohawks
Diamondbackaz posted a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Some of you may not be familiar with these neat little short action rifles produced back in the mid to late sixties that are light weight, and are excellent shooters. Apparently Cabela's bought a collection from a guy that had over sixty of these rifles and was the largest private collection in the US. They had calibers ranging from 6.5 mm mag, 35 rem mag, 6 mm, 308, 222, and 243. These make great carry guns and are collectors. More info on these types of rifles: http://www.chuckhawks.com/rem_600.htm . -

The larger diameter lens gives you better light transmission, not magnification. The 80 is going to have the edge in those low light conditions at dusk and dawn when wildlife is often most active. I got the 80 just for that reason.

The way he did it was totally out of line. -
He's too gloomy and doomy for me, and too silly to be taken serious.

Now thats sucks. I'll keep a lookout. I can't believe some of you guys don't bolt your safes down. It also prevents a tipping hazard when the door is open. .

Most of them at Cabelas were $900.00 and up due to their collectors value. Here is one on gun broker: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=139602059 . Many custom gun makers used 600 actions as it is one of the lightest actions ever made,. My friend told me that Lawson used this action on their original thumbhole stock. They have lots of custom parts for them. My 600 is a 6mm that my dad had bought new at Jensen's for my mom back in the day. -

Simple, you wait for the hatchery guy to finish loading a stocking truck and then steal the truck. -

When you get caught for something like this, the case is first taken to court. And once you are found guilty, your case goes to the commision for civil damsges and loss of licenses. This can be big bucks so there is no slap on the wrist here. -

Something like that has happened to all of us. If it hasn't, you haven't shot at enough animals. -
Get one of these with a Lilja barrel in 300 RUM http://www.mcmfamily.com/mcmillan-rifles-c...outdoorsman.php . Top it with a Loupy scope with turrets and you would be good to go. These guys are local too.

John Montgomery "Montgomery automotive". Reasonable and does excellent work. The problem is he has a two week wait most of the time. Montgomery Automotive 5150 N La Cholla Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85705 520) 407-9456 -
There is a cream or an ointment that you can get at the drug store that takes care of them when you get them. Many of the pharmacists don't know what they are so you will need to have them look it up. I got them real bad when I was with the Forest Service working in Madera Canyon. Got them real bad around the ankles and belt line. You scratch and scratch till you bleed. Whats real bad is when they get on your scrotum, Oh Son!! Spray Off around the ankles to keep them off.

I'm sure all the guys that said this sort of reply would feel differently if they were in the situation. If I knew I was in violation, I would have never been, because I would have did this mc plate before. I understood that all we needed was an OHV sticker and we were good to go. So dont tell me this garbage about taking it. Now I'm starting to get pissed off because people want to jump on the bandwagon. To the other post, that said enforce the law. Ya thats great. But I myself thought it was a waste of time. So you are telling me as being self employed having to take a day off of work in my busy season to drive up to flagstaff and sit in a court is worth it. Come on. A warning would have resulted in the same action I have taken all week with getting these bikes ready. Most of you guys dont know me. If you did you probably wouldnt say the things you are saying. I consider myself a nice guy and try to be cordial. I am sure that if this happened to one of YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS your comments would not be the same. And if it would be then you are a jackass also. I would never say some of the remarks made that some of you have to any of you in this situation. Everyone is big behind the keyboard though. There has been plenty of warning. The AG&F website has posted the new rules for awhile and specifically mentions which tags are needed for what types of roads you are on// -
