I'm considering signing my son and I up for the app before the elk draw deadline. https://azgfd-portal-wordpress-pantheon.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/archive/3.2.23-Tag-Modernization-FAQ-and-App-instructions-Combined.pdf I'm asking anyone who's used it to share their experience good or bad and what's the biggest benefit or drawback about the system that you've noticed, if any. Thank you in advance. Added this video:

Thank you everyone for all of the responses! We've decided to opt in to the E-Tag program for this Elk & Antelope draw. I will update the thread with our experience, when we E-Tag our harvests! AZGFD updating their website's portal with draw results a bit faster and them having a better tool to calculate actual harvest numbers was the determining factor for me.

How many points do you have?

We actually cooked (cast iron, butter, salt & pepper) & ate the back straps separate. And let me tell anyone who doesn't already know that they taste amazing.

Thank you for the motivation. Have a bump.

Can someone clarify if it's true that the hunt number you were drawn for appears in your portal account right after you're drawn?
-
Thank you for the response. 1) This is from the AZGFD webpage that I linked in the opening post: "Can you ensure my privacy? Yes, AZGFD’s mobile application meets all data security requirements including encryption of personally identifiable information. Location data is not collected." 2) Only for OTC E-tags, not for the regular draws in which case there is no actual tag.
-
Thank you. Just to confirm, if I sign up for the E-Tag app, I can still buy paper (non E-tag) OTC tags locally, right?

OK

Fandamntastic job, man! I was in Unit 10 on an antler-less hunt this year and I agree with your previous post about the number of tags being sold compared to elk.
-
Portable too! Sorry, I couldn't resist. I'll see myself out.

kfallsrob Did you get your unit 10 Bull?

Black-tailed jackrabbit stew, cooked in a Instant Pot: Opportunity knocked and he hit it in the eye with his .308 bolt action.

Luke, the world certainly needs more things like this organization! And I'm not even religious.

Not unless you use the footage to assist in hunting activities. https://www.azgfd.com/wildlife-conservation/wildlife-viewing/wildlife-live-cams/ Another good use of the cameras is to set them pointing at your campsite to monitor for despicable thieves that target hunters during hunting season.

Maybe apply for a harder hunt?

Thompson/Center Triumph Muzzeloader parts diagram needed! (Got it fixed)
TR0UBLE SH00TER posted a topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
Update: Mazy's was able to fix the issue without the drawing. Good guys who are really good at what they do. Thanks again Dave and Jim! =============================================================================== As many of you know they (T/C) went out of business. My T/C Triumph Bone Collector is currently inoperable ( something in the trigger assembly broke) and needs to be repaired. The gunsmith, Mazy's in Chino Valley needs a parts diagram to attempt to fix it but I can't find one online. I already called Smith & Wesson who bought T/C but had no luck getting a drawing or schematic of the gun! I have a HAM javelina hunt in February and was planning on using it. That probably won't happen now but I figured I'd try asking here to see if anyone could procure a drawing for me? I have started learning archery but literally just started and will probably not be ready to use a bow to hunt in a month. I might just have to use this beater instead. -

The owner requested one when I dropped it off yesterday. Don't think the gunsmith has looked at it yet. Might not without a drawing as it's not a common rifle.
