  1. My son drew a youth tag! Wife and I drew antler-less, which is all we apply for.

I might put in for a late bull tag next time around as I actually enjoy a challenge.

Now we will just have to wait for the 2024 deer regulations and then play tag Tetris on the calendar!

Yeah, the CWT forum is buzzing with non stop hunting discussion and new topics (not).

If it weren’t for draw results, classifieds and sharing photos of the sloppy joe I made for dinner this forum would be dead.

By the way…. what does “What I had for dinner” have to do with hunting exactly?

    Bad take.

Not a bad take, as this is a hunting discussion forum, first and foremost.

I just thought posting a new "Thank You!" thread in the classifieds was a bit disingenuous and could have been done in his original post.

    No big deal.

Just trying to help folks from breaking down while on said hunting activities! Thanking the few who I have helped, but I hope you enjoy your day man.

And I'm sure there are at least a hundred other mechanics on here that could do the same.

Maybe they already have enough work...

    Welcome to CWT...

I see your very first post was a self-promotional advertisement.

Maybe we should all come here just to promote our businesses instead of discussing hunting activities.

Seriously? That's sad. All field days I've ever seen were .22's. Might as well just allow just the online portion if they're only letting you shoot a bb gun.

    Yes, I am.

Maybe it varies but my son, who's now 13 took the online field day class down at Ben Avery in mid 2021 and they used BB guns, inside the classroom.

I was under the impression that by law kids under a certain age (14) or so had to be seen shooting live rounds and safe gun handling in order to receive a hunters safety certificate?

FYI, they only let the kids use BB guns during the youth Hunter Ed online field day class.

I watched one of my hounds get bit on the lower lip. From 75 yards.  He had a hold of her lip for about 10 sec. before she got it off.  She ran down the mountain , then a sand wash and 2 miles back home.  I cleaned it out and gave her some augmentin.  She was in a lot of pain for about 4 hours.  The next day she was fine.  What I understand is that its not so much the venom but that their mouth is filthy.  So infection is the main concern.

They're also known for not letting go of the bite. So it sounds like sh was actually lucky. Oddly enough.

    Irony.

I have had two sisters work for him One in Vegas and one here in Mesa .  My sister worked for him in 2004 in Vegas. She was 17 and he came in with some possible new franchise owners. And ask my sister to make sandwiches for all them. She did. All the guest was happy with there service and there sandwiches. Even the possible female new owner commented on Her and her sandwiches she made. They were all happy. Then jimmy steps up and begins to say he was sorry that he didn't agree. That Jimmy Johns requires better service and told my sister she was fired. That wasn't bad enough . My sister was 17 years old. As she left He said to Her that if that's the way you handle my meat on a sandwich. Remind me not to let you touch My meat.. very very inappropriate. My other sister was fired 49 minutes after showing up to work on her first day and all alone to open and never trained one second.

  10. Thank you everyone for all of the responses!

We've decided to opt in to the E-Tag program for this Elk & Antelope draw.

I will update the thread with our experience, when we E-Tag our harvests!

AZGFD updating their website's portal with draw results a bit faster and them having

a better tool to calculate actual harvest numbers was the determining factor for me.

Only time I have seen this was when delw (rip) posted jackrabbit back strap cooked.

We actually cooked (cast iron, butter, salt & pepper) & ate the back straps separate.

And let me tell anyone who doesn't already know that they taste amazing.
