Got skunked this year, guess I will be helping others and working on the stick skills!
-
I build posts that I zip tie my cameras to. I lock the camera to the post from the back plate that I weld to the post, and if its a spot I use all the time, a shovel, some quick cement mix, water from the catchment and make it a perm. location. Some spots I build mounds of rock, stick the post in and hope for the best.

I leave my cameras out most of the year. I check them sometimes weekly, and others monthly. I am not sure about the cattle, but I know that I have Javelina that are sharing the same trails as the deer. Like most, path of least resistance!

Your salt is going to depend on alot of things, such as how avtive is the area, amount of traffic, are you sure there is no other sites in the area that they are hitting. Is it in a bedding area, along a frequent route, or is it so out of the way they might get to it. All these factors and more is why your trail camera is such an important tool for you to use. What type of camera are you using? From what I have learned, it takes a little know how. Once you figure it out, thats when the fun begins and the costs start adding up when you have to have more camers, more SD cards, more cameras, and maybe more cameras!!!!! It is amazing what you will learn! Keep at it and learn from it. Ben

When I set up on trails, I try to have the camera at a 45 on south side ot the trail. Somthing that would be worth your time would be a card reader that you can view your pics. It really helps with your set up and knowing where our cameras limits are.You can pick them up for around $50. I have found that the higher up, the more pitch you need on your camera. If your in a dryer climate, the water trick works great by speeding up the long term process.

Can the draw be adjusted to 30-31" or can it be done?

Here is a link to their website. http://www.froggtoggs.com/store/choose.asp...p;ItemType=Camo Here is one more to look at. http://www.froggtoggs.com/catalog/2009cata...r/page16-17.asp It weights 22oz! I usually wear it under my leafy wear. I have used it by its self. I havn't had any problems with it ripping, and if it does you can sent it back to them. I feel its very quiet. and for around $60, its not to bad and fits almost anywhere you want to put it!

Has anyone bought one yet and used the new Moultrie Game Management GPS System? I have been doing some reading on it and it sounds good. Maybe no more stolen cameras, and maybe you will know when its being messed with! Can't wait till I can buy one!!!

Where I usually use my Cameras I think its going to work great. I just might order one next month and give it a shot. I just think its flipping awsome that you can get live pics and video from your camera in real time. I would be willing to bet that we are not far off from getting a satalite link to our cameras.

I can't be the only one that wants one!!!! Look out thieves!!! Now if it has an explosive charge we are set!

Sportsmanswarehouse going out of business?

Alberta Farmers Coop, North Americas Formost Outfitter! Who wants to support a Canadian based company. Don't we want to keep our money in the states to benifit our econemy? I will not shop there ever again. When they closed the Goodyear store, I was upset, tried driving to the N PHX store and I am sure some of you know how it is up there. I had a gift card for $250, and couldn't find any junk that I could use to buy in the store. Some people have no business working in that store or any sport store. Its to bad that the few great people that do work in SW have to go threw this. When you talk to them about it, they say that their is nothing that they can do about it sorry, and I have been told to go to another store! Sorry about venting but I agree with just about everyone here! -
bullet selection for coyotes & bobcats 22-250 rem.
Bucks_N_Yotes replied to yote sniper's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
use 55gr vmax. I have killed alot of coyotes with it at differnt yards from 20 to 500. Great preformance. It does well with the bobcats as well. I have shot 4 with them and all have had little damage. Two others needed a little sowing. -
Four months of hard work, done in 10 minutes, 6:30am, which lead to a long day of work.
