Got these pics of lions from a lady at work. They are either White Tanks but then I heard it was in Ajo off a Game and Fish new Water tank.

My buddy and I jumped in the truck to go smack a pig. Found 9 pigs about 11:30. 700 yards with my 15's. Made a good stalk and was deflected at 45 yards by an Ocotillo branch. Sending my arrow in the dirt just below him. After getting back to the saddle above and talking with my buddy to see where the other pigs went. At 20 yards a boar steps out from under a mesquite tree. 2 good shots later, big piggy down. It was a great day hunt. hoyt vipertec, muzzy 4 blade 100.

I think the 2 weeks of cold weather in late Dec had an effect on the rut. I was videoing nice bucks before Jan and went in after and couldn't find but one buck. I found 4 different groups of does with no buck activity.

Hunted in 08 during the snow storm. saw hundreds of lopes around Lander. My advise to you is hunt them in oct. not the first 2 weeks of the season. Lots of BLM land to hunt.

Why are most people so caught up in shooting 300/ 400 yards and beyond. For youth shooters getting close as possible is better for a more accurate shot and a higher chance of a quick kill. 7mm08 is more than enough gun. I would suggest try another make of rifle.

congrats to the young hunter, but do you think its good for a young hunter to start out shooting animals from that kind of distance? Im sure you have practiced alot of shooting but what are we showng our young ones. I thought taking youth hunters hunting was about the experience and the essence of the hunt? Just a my thought. good luck on your deer hunt.

Went out for the first trip of the year. Couldn't have asked for better weather. Nice breeze and overcast on Monday. I wish I had a dog to work that day, but limited out anyway. Got it done in 2 hours.
