I had 3 flats in Utah a coupl of weeks ago. Soon as I got home I went to a smaller rim(had 20's) on my 06 ram. I bought 17's with Good Year Silent Armor there 9 ply on top and 6 ply on sidewalls. I had them on my chevy, never had a flat in 2 years. I have had them on san carlos, utah in the shale, and all around Roosevelt, never a problem.

Its a good Idea to hold off until it cools off. If your seeing that many does there will be bucks around. Just be patient when glassing. Remember to be as quite as possible when sneaking in their first light. They can hear really good and there more alert in thick cover. Good luck

I know how you feel. But its probly not antis. Antis don't spend alot of time out in the woods, only when the seasons come around, when they go out to spook off all the animals. Its probly some competition. Someone saw your spot and thought it looked good so they hid the salt block a little farther douwn the trail and set his stuff up. You'd be suprised what non ethical un sportsmanlike people will do. Exspecially when they haven't had someone to teach them the does and don'ts of the unwritten law of hunting and scouting!

Thanks for the kind words. Ive decided it will be a yearly trip for me. To see 100-150 deer a day is amazing. We also saw Grouse, Coyotes, Elk, Porcipine, AND NO TRASH ALL OVER THE ROADS! Thanks guys.

Hunted all week olny drew my bow on 2 bucks the whole week. Lots off road hunters. Big bucks were up high again like last year. 9,500 to 11,000 ft elevation. It was a fun time. Made a great stalk on 4 bucks and shot the biggest one.

OUt scouting for mule deer. So I called a little before it got to hot. Did ok, called in 4 dogs at one time, got 1 and a cat in 4 mins off a woodpecker.

What do you think is a safe distance from a small water source? I have 5 different bucks hitting this little puddle of water.

Its sad if its another hunter. All that you can say for him is that he is a lousey hunter with no respect. Go ahead and post his pic. Someone will recognize him in the field and give him a dose of "WHAT THE heck R U DOING!"

[Hey Bruce. I've had luck starting out with a rabbit distress foe a few mins, then turning to the woodpecker. I have a woodpecker decoy up high in the brush or hanging from a branch. It seems like soon as they see something thats makeing the noise, all you have to do is get ready to throw some lead. Im going to try with a bow next time!!

Trick is to get at least 2 stands in the morning early in the season. get the young critters quick. And before all the local spots get galled to death

Hey I took my brother in law in there 2 years ago and there was about 300 camps on the Kinikinik Lake road. About 4 miles in on the south side. I called in 3 6x6 in 20 min. Theres alot of 325-330 bulls in their. Gotta shoot one early. Quads will drive into the meadows allday long. My brotherinlaw almost shot one guy on his quad with a blunt. No respect for the land.

I called in 4 young dogs at Roosevelt shot one . Second stand killed a bobcat in 4 minutes off a whirling woodpecker. Saw a few muley bucks too.
