Still Hunting during the rut is tough because they are moving so much.... You will see deer but getting on them is a different story.... I think hunting funnels and water is the way to go if you want to KILL a deer... J

Oh yah... and as far as cover scents go.... I am not a real fan of them... I have read(I can't remember where) have the ability to disect different scents...SOOOOO The deer will be able to tell that the blind is there... J

I set mine up and wash mine like a car with Scent Free Soap... make sure you do both the inside and out AND don't forget to wash the bag it came in. I don't think you can completely get rid of the smell but I am at least tryiing to trick the deer in thinking that the scent that they are picking up is further away OR has already passed. J

TAM I think you are right... kind of... There are alot of things to consider and that is how we got into this crazy situation... The Dept tried to make everybody happy... NR,R,Outfitters,LO, Tree Hugges... etc... So they came up with the crazy system we have now. We need to say ENOUGH!!!! Sportsman need to stand up and fight for our hunting rights....If 70% of all Antelope Tags went to NR, the people of AZ would be raising heck... You have drawn more antelope tags than I ever have and you have drawn more Burro Mnt tags than I have... This is just wrong... Hunting is a tradition and a right of passage - this is one of the few things that shouldn't be based on money. The mountain doesn't understand

Good Stuff Guys... The only things I would add.. 1) if you have a cell, plb or spot keep in on your person NOT in your backpack... If you take a dive it wil not do you any good if it is in your pack in the tree 2) have a plan for cutting yourself out if you happen to fall... 3)Be wary of the sun... I have a buddy.. (NO NAMES) that had a great spot but it was right in the sun... HE GOT A WICKED SUNBURN.... J
