Unit 3A/4B Zeniff / Dry Lake population management hunt
goat73 replied to goat73's topic in Elk Hunting
Just an update after my trip up there. It was short-lived but learned a lot. We found a fair amount of elk on the last few days of hunting, but they were just moving at night. Guess I'm not experienced enough to make the most of that. However, I'd like to thank everyone for their input and suggestions. I may not have been so 'successful' as I was without that. We had a great time even though we didn't come home with meat, and I'm good with that. Thanks again all! -
What reticle does this have?

Hard to find at the moment & they have a real fair price.

That seems to be the common thought here. There's supposed to be snow coming in there right before the hunt, so it'll be interesting to see how that plays out. -

Thanks for that suggestion. I'm going to try & do this unguided at the moment although my brother will come along for help. I didn't get the 'any elk' tag, so I'll be looking for a good cow instead. I appreciate the advice & Happy New Year to you! -

Thanks, I'm worried about that. I'll reach out to the wildlife managers in the area & imagine they'll have some advice. I imagine they're the ones who really want the herd gone. Thanks again & have a Happy New Year! -
Interested in this. I’ll shoot you a text.

I recently upgraded my spotter and have a Celestron Ultima 80 angled spotting scope with 20-60X eyepiece. I also used this for many years as a shooting spotter and it worked great for the money. Case is faded a bit on one side but glass and body are in great condition. I'll include an Arca plate as shown if needed. I'll let it go for $125 and am located in Queen Creek, work near US60 & Country Club weekday mornings. Call text or PM if interested. Mike 602-810-2469

Depends on the condition. I’m interested and will send you a PM. Thanks

I’ll take the 12 ga shells if the other person doesn’t want to drive that far. You’re pretty close so cost of fuel isn’t bad.
