uofahughes2 replied to SwarovskiCoues's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Store
No Zipper- Zippers on hoodies are for terrorists. -
I think I saw you this weekend as well. Remembered the truck. White Jeep with a UofA tire cover.

I set a trailer up this year a week before my archey hunt started. Then I went back to work for the week. I guess that makes me a Camp Site Terrorist... We made sure it was next to a waterhole and then dumped trash everywhere. Truth betold, Ive waited 8 years for that tag. I pidgeonholed every day of vacation I had for that hunt. Im also fortunate enough to have a buddy that let me borrow his trailer and being that I dont think my jeep or quad was going to be able to haul it up the hill the night before the hunt, I utilized my resources. I had another friend and his truck help me set up camp (Ive got great friends) the weekend before the hunt. After two months of scouting my original camp spot plan was already taken, I did what anyone would do... called the Game and Fish, The Forrest Service, the NSA, then I had the Department of Homeland Security contact the TSA who then got ahold of Obama and everything was fixed. I might of exaggerated that part, all I really did was silently swear under my breath while congratulating them on being 3 hours ahead of me, and found a new campsite. I dont get the animosity towards fellow hunters.. heck, I wish I lived in a trailer in the woods. In my opinion (Usually induced by Shiner Bock Beer), if someone with a 452' toy hauler and 17 razers beat you to your "spot", you need a new spot anyways. If you want to camp right next to them, do it. Just set your alarm earlier than theirs and quit bitchin.

Personally, I like to store each component of my two cameras in different rooms and backpacks. Sometimes I'll even mix and match the parts to make the scavenger hunt more fun. If I'm being really sneaky I'll even lock my sd cards in the center console of my jeep, that way I get to look for my keys as well, really adds to the challenge!

Jim White has an adapter for his tripod that works pretty good. Just a little V deal that sits where your binos go. If I have time, Ive got a versapod that cants, 24 inch adjustable legs for uneven ground, then I flip my tripod head upside down and put the butt of the rifle in the crook of the handle. Its as close to shooting off a bench in the field that ive found.

Looking to have a custom tooled leather sling made as a gift.

Track down PackerMenges on this site, I'm sure he has some good leather maker connections. -
Could you call Cabelas and have them order it in? Then pick it up when it arrives?

First Jack of the Fall

Somewhere around here, there used to be a story about a guided jack rabbit hunt. It was pretty entertaining. -
I'll take the loss at USC over not having to wear the helmets asu wore against Notre Dame. My lord, those looked like something you'd find in the commode after eating enchiladas from Los Betos. I will say this though, as a die hard UofA fan, BJ Denker looks like he went to the Tim Tebow school of Quarterback Mechanics and skipped accuracy day.

Another Vote for Casey's.

Anytime. I was new once too. Funny how people forget that.

I bought one from Ross outdoors earlier this summer. Great cooler and a great archery shop!

Can you drop the poundage lower than 65? -
Finally got around to lifting my garage queen and putting new tires on her. Now I have 5 takeoffs with rims up for barter or sale. 1 Tire still has lots of tread left, 1 is the original spare and the other 3 are all pretty close to being bald (Could probably still get a couple hundred miles out of them...). The tire size is 30x9.5 R15 and should fit most stock Jeeps. I don't know if someone could use the tires/rims for any projects etc... I also have all the Control arms, springs, steering stabilizer etc if anyone is interested. I think these would only fit the unlimiteds from 04-06. I've got the original air intake box and throttle body if anyone needs one of those. I'd like to get something for the tires/rims but if anyone could use the other parts, let me know. Trades I'd entertain: Shiner Bock Beer (12 Pack Minimum) GPS Coordinates to any bull over 360 in Unit 10 Coors Light (30 Rack Minimum) Knob Creek/Crown Royal Whisky Grave Digger 100 Grain Broadheads .223/5.56 Ammo/Brass Cash 22 Ammo .270 Short Mag ammo/brass Concrete work GPS Coordinates to any Coues deer over 100 (Any Unit) Shed Horns John Wayne Movies Jerky UofA Tickets Jerky Recipes Gun Cases As you can see, I'm pretty flexible. I hope someone can use this. The tires are located in Chandler and everything else is in Buckeye, but I can go pick them up if need be. Actually I need to go pick them up as I'm sure my buddies wife is tired of them being in the garage. The only catch, if you need one tire/rim, you take all 5! (You can throw the other 4 in the canal on your way out or sell them to a tweeker, I dont care) Pristine... Lots of Life! Probably shouldn't go over 45. Just like new...

My living room looks like Cabelas and Ross Outdoors had an Orgy. It's spilled over from my office (hunting storage room). My wife has a constant look of contempt on her face. I'm excited for deer, but I've also got my first archery elk tag... And I'm a wreck. I have a trail worn in my yard from 80 yards back to the target that rivals the trails my 3 dogs have on the fence line. I had a nightmare the other night that my whisker biscuit had turned into this molten lava hole that disintegrated arrows as they passed through. It was horrible. I couldn't sleep for like 3 nights after that. Then I had a nightmare that after I released an arrow at this giant bull, his horns fell off while my arrow was in flight. I think I need to see a psychiatrist. I've had epic broadhead tuning fights. I've had panic attacks about every single thing on my bow. I also Love every second of it and can not wait to be in the woods.

This isn't an issue with "Ranchers" Most of the Big Bo is a privately owned and privately operated ranch. We've been lucky to have access to it thus far. Most Ranchers operate off of leases from the BLM and Forrest Service, and couldn't shut down access if they wanted to. Unless it was through a block of privately owned property and then it would be access only.
