I have decided I want to buy a new Matthews switchback. Which archery shop or sporting goods shop would you recomend as far as service and lowest prices? Thanks in advance!

Hunted 6A last weekend and there were a boat load of people and only saw a few deer. Unit eight was one of the areas I have been researching also how were the crowds? Can you get away from them by hiking away from roads?

Where to buy Matthews Switchback XT???

Like I said I have been going to that shop since I was a kid the guys are great and have always helped me out with hunt info and tuning my bow. It just seems like their prices are kinda high and they are very busy. I am going to try and get in there during the middle of the week and see if that is any better. I can't wait to get that bow!!!! -

You would think with all of the big shops moving into town that these smaller shops would try a little harder at their customer service. I am in the autobody business and can't remember the last time I greeted a potential customer with a what do you want! Think I'd be out of business a long time ago! -
Get after him now and if you don't find him call in to work, it's worth it you will find him if you look hard enough. Good luck!

I am in Queen Creek. I used go to archery HQ all the time when I was a kid but now they seem too dang busy every time I go in. Great for them they are good guys who know there stuff but bad for me the customer. Maybe I need to give them another shot. I have been to Bear mountain quite a bit and have had pretty fair service there but sometimes it seems like i am putting a burden on them by bringing them business?? -

Shooting? One or both eyes open?
mattobertin replied to Schmitty's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I shoot the exact way you do and can shoot well both ways but when I close my left eye I find I concentrate more and am more accurate. In quick draw situations if you can shoot with both eyes open you have a better field of view like you said. -
What do you think this might be?

You did'nt see any illegals because you were too close to the border. Travel a little more north and they will be tapping you on the shoulder when you are glassing! (Like my hunt in 36B last year!) We hunted the mid section of 36B and had illegals everywhere including some drug runners. I will be headed down there again early Nov. so hopefully we won't have the same encounters as last year. Good luck to everyone hunting down south! -
Those are some cute pups, how many did she have? Looks like a big litter.

I love hunting Utah. Only been once but can't wait to get back. Good job on the deer. When did Utah archery open and how long is the season?

lonely pop-trailers on National Forest land
mattobertin replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I say if it's not illegal then technically the guys who leave their trailers are the first come first serve fellas. I myself would not do it but if it's legal what the heck right? -
Report it to G&F maybe he will get a littering ticket for leaving garbage (paper sign & blind material) in the woods! LOL!

Cowards Caught on Camera!

You probably won't see that skinny little feller again, I'm sure the fat one ate him shortly after! -
There are a ton of coyotes down by oracle. I was archery deer hunting there a couple of years back when an ambulance blairing it's sirens drove down the highway and the yotes started howling from every direction! Out of all the places in Arizona I have been that is the best spot I have ever seen. Although I was in my garage the other morning around 6:00 when a coyote ran in between my driveway and my neighbors house! He was cruising through the orchards looking for some grub!

I have nitto terra grapplers on my chevy duramax and so far i have almost 50,000 on them & counting. I think Nitto makes Toyo's so they are probably a quality tire as well.

Cowards Strike Again!!

I have not been using my trailcams lately but would like to start again so hearing all of this makes me pretty leary. My question is how many of you lock your cams to the tree? I know there is still a few ahole carreer criminals that could take the extra time to cut the lock but would make it alot tougher for most of the standard trail cam clepto's. I work with metal for a living so I was thinking about making a few super tough boxes for my cams with the chain actually welded onto the back of the box & securing it with a good master lock. Have any of you had your cams jacked when securely locked to the tree? -
Who do you sell them to? I would go predator hunting alot more if i could actually sell the fur but have not had any experience with selling pelts.

I need a new string on my PSE baby G. Do I need to bring it to a shop that services PSE or will anywhere do the work? Thanks.
