    Sweet Antelope buck

Nice pictures. I might have a picture of that same antelope. I don't think there's too many out there that look like him.
  3. 2014 has been a good a year for me. It started out with my Dad and I drawing archery bull tags for a second year in a row. Unlike last year however, we were both able to wrap tags around our first elk. My Dad's Mine After accomplishing one of my biggest dreams on the elk hunt, I knew I would be completely content if I didn’t take another animal the rest of the year (or years even). I had a rifle Coues tag in my pocket though so I figured I’d see if I could have even more success. The first weekend started out slow with lots of glassing with some friends and a few does and a couple smaller bucks. Fast forward to this Thursday and there was a lot of rain and fog and not much glassing or hunting. At least my dad was there to hunt with me this time. Friday I decided to go back to where I was the previous morning, only this time I was able to glass and glass until I saw this guy. I decided on a game plan to close the distance for a shot. My Dad and friend stayed back to watch the show. I got within my shooting range and got settled down and waited. I ended up waiting about two hours, so I had plenty of time to digiscope some pictures and admire this awesome buck. He finally stood up to stretch and after one warning shot, I was able to drop him. I waited for my Dad and friend to make their way over to help with the recovery. Luckily, there was a road that ran across the bottom of the hill he was on. I couldn’t believe how perfectly everything worked out and felt truly lucky to be able to walk up to a 100”+ buck like this. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to take a buck of this quality and it finally paid off. I roughly scored him at 107.
  4. Thank you! It's just the diamondback 4-12x40 with the bdc reticle.

    Hello fellas

Hey Samuel I just moved from Tucson to south chandler and I plan on doing a little exploring to find places for December and January. I don't know anyone in the Phoenix area and I don't always like going out alone, so it'd be cool to have somebody to go with. I Have the weekends off too. Tanner

    34a

Thanks YlClaret, I do this a few times each year for CWT.com members... (at least the "nasty-gram PM's" have stopped by folks that feel I'm sharing to much info hehehe) Dang, Oneshot is awfully generous. Can I bring you with me on my 34a hunt in November?
  8. Selling a Marlin XL7 chambered in 30-06. I painted the original stock myself and has held up great. Does not come with the bipod but will come with the EGW base. Shoots factory core-lokts pretty well, I just don't need a 30-06 for anything I hunt with a rifle. I'm asking $200 for it. I also have a Savage Mark II 22lr that is in good shape as it's barely been used and taking up space. Asking $100 obo. Lastly, I have a weaver scope that I got a while back. It's a 3-9x50 and the glass itself is excellent and is very clear. Has a duplex reticle on it. Outside shows some wear. It was made in Japan. Asking $60 for it. You can pm, text or call me at (520)850-5685. I'm in Phoenix but come come down to Tucson often.

    Bulls starting to bugle!!!

Hey JD do you have a tag for that unit? I was up there as well and only heard a couple bugles. I was mostly in the ceders. WildCat, no I don't get drawn again. lol But my son had a cow tag for that unit last year so we were basically just hang out and doing some hiking. Most of the elk activity we heard was near Middle Ridge Rd and Wiggins Crossing Rd. There were elk every where. But you know as well as I know come elk season their nowhere to be found. lol JD I was lucky enough to draw a tag for that unit this year. I'll probably be up there again this weekend to do some last minute scouting. Hopefully I'll hear more bugles ha.

  14. I took these photos through my spotting scope at about 500 yards and then cleaned them up a little. This buck had four small kickers and the tip of his left main beam is splitting or he's growing a drop tine. His 3rds curve so much it's hard to tell the length. What do you guys think he would score?

What do you consider a big bull

I think we get spoiled here in AZ. Many people across the country consider a 300" bull very big. I live here in AZ, however, so I think a big bull is 340+.

    6A Bulls

Is it going slow for anyone else here in 6a? I've barely been hearing bugles and haven't seen many elk at all. I did manage to glass up a big bull from a long ways off and got some pics. It's blurry but you can make out the antlers.

    Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 Riflescope ***SOLD****

Sorry forgot to update that the scope was sold
  20. I'm selling my Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44PA scope. It has the 30mm tube and v-plex wide reticle. The scope is in great shape, only used on one coues hunt and the glass is perfect. I'll also include a set of Burris signature zee 30mm scope rings that fit it. Asking $300. Scope is in Tucson. Thanks
  21. Tines, That's an awesome buck and they do look similar. I'm pretty sure they're from the same unit. Here's a comparison picture
  22. Thanks for breaking that down Becker that's about what I was thinking. I showed him to some other people and they were saying low to mid 80's so I was questioning my scoring ability.

    Toyota Tacoma 2014--Need Opinion

The op said he wants a vehicle to take him anywhere his side-by-side can while keeping him warm, comfortable, out of the dust and to occasionally pull a bass boat. A Tacoma sounds like the perfect vehicle for your needs.
