I actually went through the same choice a while ago and ended up checking out some options at https://www.gigwise.com/best-gopro-alternatives/. I was surprised at how solid some of those alternatives are for way less cash. If the Hero 7 Silver doesn’t pan out or gets snagged before you can claim it, a few on that list are worth a look.
