No internet rumors here! Last year cattle and carp reported 25% success for archery... 60 hunters= 15 dead archery goats... This year more than that have been killed in the first 6 days! I was on several of them and received pictures from good friends of the others. I am not getting into a pissing match with anyone over this, but I don't post rumors, hearsay, or B.S. I hope I am wrong on this!! I will find out in 3 weeks

I have seen several of your posts and you guys kill some great animals, with so many awesome antelope units, with 21 points why did you burn them all with 21 points on 19a?

just wondering my friends have always cleaned up on archery 19a, I don't really think this year was any different we just now have the internet for everyone to post there success.Did someone influence you to put in here?I know most units that say the success rate it usually way off. 19a has always been one of the easiest units to kill a goat.

I have seen the stats of some units where we have killed 5 or 6 animals and it only showed 20 percent success don't go by the g and f book it isn't very accurate sorry you burned so many points. god luck on your hunt I hope you find a giant.

Quality! 19a has produced more big bucks than any other unit. Why wouldn't you want to hunt it!? It's not usual that almost every BIG buck gets arrowed the 1st archery hunt! This year is going to screw things up for awhile. WAIT AND SEE;)

  3. Well if you must know HuntAz i have the second archery season for 19a so i have been out there scouting every weekend. And i dont understand why your getting so focused on everyone else stories. Why cant you just make the best of the hunt. I also have a buddy who lives up in prescott ridge and he is saying there are plenty of big bucks roaming around. Ones that would meet your "80+" standards

Im not going off of anyone else's stories. I know for myself what's goen on up their. This makes me wonder if your friend knows what an 80"+ goat is!? I've been their alot and know what's their. I'll make the best I can of the hunt an hope I come out with a good 1!

  4. Sounds like alot of guys have NO IDEA about what's goen on this year and are comparing it to previous years. Not every year is guaranteed to be the like ones prior and this yr isnt looken good!! You can sit in your living room and read the #s and statistics from the last 10yrs but unless you've been out their and spent the hours and seen the bucks then you have no clue. I think a lot of what I'm hearing to is guys seeing alot of "nice" bucks but to a guy who doesn't know how to field judge goats a 74" buck looks big!.... I don't know why everyone's feelings are getting hurt. Your not the ones with the tags. We aren't making this stuff up where just tellen it exactly how it is! You know it's bad when the best 7 bucks you scouted all summer were dead in the 1st of 4 weeks of archery hunters! !!

  5. Yea it's that easy! With good photos of each buck it's not hard to tell witch buck is witch when you start getting kill pics! Theirs always the chance a buck shows up from the back country but as for all the scouting I did and the notes I've compared with other hunters every good buck I had scouted in the areas I can hunt are in someone's freezer!! I've talked with guys who are in the unit EVERY YEAR scouting and guiding hunters and they are speechless this year so far!!!!!

  6. No pissing match intended. I was on last years 2nd hunt with a tag in my pocket. I saw first hand, and I assure you that there was more than 15 antelope killed during both hunts. 15 were killed on 2nd hunt alone, and that is if the hunt survey cards are correct. I believe a few guys from ross had the 1st hunt and they both killed good bucks. buddy of mine killed a great buck and his father also took a good buck on 1st hunt. Lots of opportunity for a harvest in 19a, reason being Antelope herds are doing well, and #'s are high per mile. Just trying to get people to simmer down about how all the Antelope in 19a are being slaughtered. This happens EVERY year, and Good bucks will be killed during Muzzy hunts as well. Last year the 2 hunters I personally knew who had Muzzy 19a tags both killed 80"+ Antelope. There is so much good Antelope country in 19A, and you can never tell what a buck will do during the rut. He could be on Private for weeks, then leave it and jump onto public chasing tail. Good luck on your ML tag, I am confident you will find a buck that will be fantastic.

With a muzzy tag in my hand I can only HOPE a big buck comes outta the woodworks. Between myself and lionhunter and the friends we have helping each of us we have covered TONS of ground and seen a majority of the bucks on public AND Private!! Having a friend with the rifle tag we were able to scout all of perkins. Almost ALL the bigger bucks seen were on public land and are all dead. I've got hundreds of pictures to compare photos to so believe me I KNOW!

PS: when a guy who guides the unit every year and knows antelope better than anyone in the state Is freaken out about the slaughter of quality and # of bucks this year in 19a, then ya know theirs a problem haha....

  7. I have the tag also. Have you been their lately or seen the success from the 1st archery hunt? I spent a lot of time in the unit in june/july. So far just about EVERY good buck I seen is dead! My top 5 bucks are for sure gonners! Not looking great for the muzzy hunt
