    San Carlos Gobbler!!

Great job Amanda! I would love to hear your owl hoot in person sometime. I imagine it sounds real good considering all of the owl studies you have done. Congrats on another fine Merriams bird. I liked the play by play detail description. Gobble Gobble, we are headed to Mex for Goulds in the morning, Gobble Gobble

    Talkin about MONSTER MX Coues

I am not sure sad is the exact right word for the way it went down but maybe unfortunate. Hats off to Randy for his attitude and the way he has handled the situation. He is a true class act and great ambassador for our sport of bowhunting which we all love so much.

    Darrel's Desert Ram

Congrats to you and the guys at Southwest Hunting Adventures! I saw a text pic of Travis' with the 177 they killed with that 185 pig next to it. Oh my gosh! Fantastic job! Nothing like beating the unit record by 30 plus inches!!! I saw Travis the next day and he was still flying high. Great job!

    Check out this MONSTER buck!

Guys I would like to weigh in on this fun post but before I do I would like to say thanks to Amanda for posting and great job to Steven Ward of Ward's Outfitters for getting such great video. Steven sure does find and help his clients harvest some giant bucks. I am not sure if I completely agree with some of the high numbers on this buck but I could be way off the mark on this one. Here is what I get and tell me where I am completely off and by the way I would lay down and have already have shot this buck if I saw him. Who cares what he scores he is a fantastic buck. Left Side- 2, 6 4/8, 5, 16 4/8MB, 13 Mass=43" Right Side- 2 4/8, 6 4/8, 4 4/8, 16 4/8MB, 13 Mass=43" + 13 inches of extra on extra beam and point=56" Inside Spread 13 43+56+13=112 Gross If I look at just the mainframe of the deer, he would not be more than about 100 inches. Where am I way off on this one? Again great job to Steven Ward of Wards Outfitter's! Keep the videos coming and knock em' dead

    Clay Goldman, Mogollon Taxidermy

This is a perfect example of why I take all of my animals to Clay Goldman of Mogollon Taxidermy. He is a first class guy, a family man, great husband and dad, and one heck of a guy! I would never and have never considered taking my animals to anyone else. He does outstanding work! I get comments all of the time from hunters that know good mounts when they come in my house and compliment Clay's work. Bottom line with me is high quality work......It just so happens Clay does such work and has the highest level of integrity while doing great work. Thanks for posting Bowsniper!

What do you think he'll score?

Strictly a guess but 34-35 wide, 310 gross....nice to see them polished.....its almost go time! Good Luck to all with tags! Go get em'

    Hunting Celebrities

Guys- Just making an observation..... We are all hunters! I have a problem when other hunters attack other hunters. I do agree the sponsorship stuff and some TV shows are less than dersireable at times but I do not like it when guys call someone out by name and make derogatory statements about them. I have met some of these guys mentioned and I can assure you that they are 100% hunters. Can't we all get along without making lame statements about other hunters styles or methods of take. BTW, I don't think anyone would be pulling Waddell's pants down without a full blown redneck fistfight. Lets think about all of the good that some of these guys mentioned have done for our sport. Good Huntin' J

WHY I WON'T GO TO MEXICO

My experience in Mexico has always been great. I have been going to Sonora for over ten years without a single incident. I think the Southern AZ units near the border are a much worse place(as far as violence, drug running and illegal type activity) to be hunting than in Mexico. As long as you don't get off of the beaten path and travel at smart times I think the violence is over dramatized. There are much worse places to be in parts of Phoenix, Tucson, Vegas, LA, San Diego, Detroit etc than Sonora, Mexico IMO. I do think they are times and places you shouldn't be in Mexico that could be a problem but if you stay in your vehicle and on the main road I think you are as safe as anywhere. I have found the Mexican people to be some of the most friendly in the whole world. Just my two cents. I am with Coues Sniper on this one though. And yes the fish tacos are to die for as well as carne asada. Happy Trails!!
