Hey guys I'm looking to get a new coues rifle and I've decided on the 6.5 284 Norma. I had one that a buddy was going to sell to me but it sold before I was able to buy it from him. If you have one your thinking about selling or know someone that is let me know. i don't have a budget for top of the line rifles as much as I would love to get one. I have my eye on the savage model 111 trophy hunter or a Thompson center venture on gunbroker.com but thought I'd try here first. I'm open minded about other calibers but I'm pretty sure I want the 6.5 284 Norma. Thanks!

I was able to harvest my first coues deer with a leftover tag. I had a great time with my dad in a unit filled with deer. After seeing what this unit has to offer I will most definitely be back. I got him on the 4th day of the hunt after missing a decent 3 point on opening evening. Long story short, I glassed him up in a deep canyon about 800 yards out. This is well beyond my comfortable range so I knew I needed to at least cut the distance in half. Down one nasty cat claw filled ridge and up the other side put me at 350 yards. My 243 did the job from there and with that I had my first coues deer. I know he isn't the biggest buck but I couldn't be happier with him. I must thank members oneshot and azpredator@work from this site and also my buddy Davin for pointing me in the right direction.

Im considering selling my mathews switchback xt bow. I put new neon green strings on it last year from Ross outdoors. I also put matching neon green harmonic dampners and monkey tails on it. It has a mathews drop away rest, Mathews quiver, and a truglo sight. this is ready to go hunting. I will post pics later when I get home from work. I am a little hesitant to sell because it has been my "baby" for the last 8 years. I am the only owner of this bow. I would like $500.00
