I kept calling today and got a different response almost every time. Finally at about 4:00 this afternoon they told me I got a tag. I got 34A. It was the 3rd choice on my leftover app and I've never hunted there but I'm excited to learn a new unit. Should be awesome!

Nothing for me yet. I got through after about a 20 minute wait today. Still going through yesterday's envelopes.

Sweet! I'll be calling again today when they open. My second choice still has tags available on the updated list so I should at least be getting that tag.

Were you able to call and find out already? I called yesterday afternoon and waited for 20 minutes for the lady to tell me they wernt available yet and we wouldn't be able to know until probably Friday! I was hoping she wasn't right.

So I've made up my mind that I would rather take my chances on a late December coues hunt rather than waiting for a kaibab tag. I've got 5 points and I know I'm not in the bonus pass yet but my odds are pretty good. I like unit 21 for my first choice. I'm torn for my second choice though. I've been looking at the bonus point reports and succes rates and all the numbers and statistics and I've narrowed it down to the late dec. 6A hunt or the unit 8/6B hunt. What do you guys think would be a better quality of hunt? Better country to glass and find some rutting bucks? I think I know which one I want but I'd like to hear your guys' thoughts.

I didn't take any pics but we saw lots of elk while camping at big lake. At night the bulls were bugling right behind our camp. I was surprised to hear them so early. It wasn't like they were rutting, just kinda talking to each other.

I'm headed to big lake with the family for 8 days starting this Saturday the 28th. Any one been there recently with a report? I can't wait!! My favorite place in the world!

I appreciate the replies so far. Being a mule deer hunter all my life I definitely have a craving for switching it up with a coues deer. With 5 points I have almost no chance at the late kaibab tag I want but looking at the bonus point report shows me that I've got a decent shot at a late dec coues tag in certain units. After seeing that it didn't take long for me to change my mind. I'm excited about venturing out into a new unit if I am to draw a tag. I'm leaning towards 6a. That hunt looks like it's got the potential for a quality December tag combined with decent draw odds.

I really need this gone. I already moved and it's the only thing left at the old house. I'm not able to put it at my new house. Make an offer. I really just need this gone. I would also take trades for hunting/ camping/ fishing stuff with some decent value. This is older but still works pretty good. It would need a few people to disassemble and a trailer to haul it. I'm hoping they can turn it around. Starting with sweeping the dodgers in this next series. Have faith people it can happen. I'm just trying to remain optimistic. Reality is sometimes your favorite team just sucks.

I got one in the mail and my card was not hit. I don't think there is any connection between the two.

I've shifted my mindset to the deer draw since I've gotten no charges for elk or antelope. For the past few years I've put 12AW late hunt first and 12AE late hunt second choice. I've got 5 points going into the draw so I know I'm nowhere near the 20% pass. So between putting in for unit 1 early archery bull for elk and late kaibab tags for deer I don't think I'm gonna get a tag for either for awhile which is why I'm strongly considering putting an early kaibab hunt for my second choice. I've hunted the west side early but never the east. I'm wondering what you guys prefer the east or west side specifically on the early hunt. Let's hear your thoughts.
