I went with a 28" barrel on my 7RM. I get 3160 fps with a 162 Amax and. 69.5 grains of H 1000. A longer barrel won't make it more accurate but you can get more speed.

You could get a barrel with a smaller contour to lighten it up and probably tighten the groups some. There are also a lot of tactical type stocks that would lighten it.

I heard if you place a sign at your camp that says I love wolves they will not only leave your stuff alone , they will leave you granola bars and soy milk.
