Pics of a really busted bull (trail cam)
DesertBull replied to windsun's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I was in 7W this morning and the bulls are going absolutely nuts. I left them at noon, still bugleing like crazy. Fighting too. -
Definitely, not bitter or jealous. I would rather kill a spike or eat tag soup than just be a shooter and not a hunter.

1 to drive the truck with the hunter, the gps and the radio and the other 7 to fly the planes.

Who has a sheep in their a$$? I'ver heard of freaks and their gerbils, but dang..A whole sheep. Ouch baby, ouch. -
It's only a matter of time until those hogs get loose.

WOW! what is more amazing...the size of that bear or the fact that Lark has buddies?
-
It's a 209, but Knight now has a breech plug for #11's that will fit this rifle.

I'm actually selling this titanium alloy tri-pod on EBAY right now. It's really light and strong, but I just prefer the heavier Bogan tri-pod. It comes with a 3-way pan head and 3 quick plates. It has foam covered upper leg sections. Good for cold mornings or for carrying the tri-pod over your shoulder with your glass attached, when moving only a short distance http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=200156638241

I too have the 700RC, but on a Bogin 190XB. It's very smooth. Not sure how much it weights, but it's not excessive. I had a ball head, but I hated it. I did not have the panning attatchment though.

Condors vs NRA
DesertBull replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Wouldn't be ironic if we found out that Condors ate Spotted Owls? -
Great read. I too love hunting alone. You go where you want, when you want. You quit when you want and keep charging forward when you want. If you feel like sleeping in one morning, you can, without guilt. If you feel like getting up 3 hours earlier than normal, you do that without guilt also. You eat the foods you like, hunt the terrain you like, etc. Hunting with friends and family has it's place, but to me, the solo hunt is always a success, even if you never fling and arrow or pull the trigger. The alone time to think and clear your mind from the rat race is priceless.

Awesome. That would be a great bull in just about any unit, let alone a marginal one. By bigsky

Maybe he found some sheds and is busy trying to photoshop them onto his spike head?
-
Congrats. Now let's see him, otherwise it's just a rumor.

Air is about 78% nitrogen gas, N2, which has a molecular weight of 28. Carbon Monoxide gas, CO, also has a molecular weight of 28, so the CO would be distributed uniformly in the air having equal densities. Vapors from gasoline and propane are denser than air, so would settle to the floor. Professor Rabbit, Can you make a radio out of two coconut shells and some seaweed? -
I'm corn-fused.

I know a guy that used to turn on all four burners of the camp stove and crack the top vent. He did that for years without a problem although he is nutty as fruitcake. -
New CouesWhitetail.com tshirts are in!
DesertBull replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in CouesWhitetail.com Store
They do look good. Too bad you don't have a tube top in lavender and mauve for Lark. -
Super Nice! Is that your best bull to date ?

Saw a beautiful bull Friday morning in 7W. Was up helping a friend. He already had 12+ cows. He bugled a few times, but was not in full frenzy mode. Heard a few in the mornings, well before light. Nothing in the evenings. It was very warm. Elk were headed for cover way before daylight all 3 mornings. They are hitting the water after dark too. It's pretty slow up there, but the weather is supposed to change. Hopefully it will get them going, he's been waiting on an elk tag for years. BTW, it is VERY dry up there. The dust is terrible.

NJ fishing, hunting could end
DesertBull replied to billrquimby's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I thought liberals were all for personal choice and freedoms? Now these bozos are trying to tell us what to eat?
