Killed this hog over the weekend on the Tejon Ranch is California. It was a great time. 100% free ranging, no feeders, no high fences, unguided.

Gov signs poaching bill

Yeah, she would have to some amazing work in order to get my vote, but with all the stuff she pulled with the gun laws a while back she would have to give me my own fourty acre ranch in the white mountains to get it. Will you feed the wolf/dogs on your new White Mountain Ranch? -
http://www.azgfd.gov/artman/publish/article_513.shtml That's two bills she has signed in our favor in the last month or so. I still won't vote for her, but just giving credit where due.

The reason people don't know is because the media doesn't want them to know. We know about terrorist getting their underwear stretched over thier heads in a prison half way around the world, but don't have a clue about what happens 60 miles south of Tucson? And the only way you will Kennedy down to the border is to lure him there with a case of Single Malt Scotch. -

on Mt Ord this week. MAY THE FLEAS FROM OSAMA'S CAMEL INFEST YOUR PRIVATE PARTS! -
According to the brochure, they are not even asking for a membership fee. How are they going to raise money to do the things they want to do?

The reason people associate landowner tags with SFW is because of the current fiasco in Utah, which was rammed through by their version of SFW. I will play Devil's Advocate here on this one though. The reason a group could be for limiting NR in the draw is that it would make demand for land owner tags even greater. Not saying this is the case, but it would be a reason to limit NR in the draw. When the idea of SFW first surfaced, I was highly sceptical of the intentions, just because of the name association with SFW. They are REALLY into auction tags, to the tune of 25% of all NR tags in UTAH I believe.

Speaking of which, what is the latest on AZ SFW? Are they taking membership yet?

Anyone draw a tag? Nothing for me. I now have 5 points for deer and Mountain Goat. Next up, New Mexico.

Is there a procedure for getting a person removed from the Commission?

Say all you want about the commisioners, but the Game and Fish Department backed the proposals almost word for word even though they got he same feedback from the public. Not only from the survey, but from the public meetings they held throughout the state, emails, phones calls, etc. They could have recommended other alternatives, but they didn't. You will never convince me it wasn't 100% about the money. They did not get the money they were hoping for from trying to increase the archery elk tags, they got told by lawmakers they could not sell more than 10% of the tags to NR, and they would have been forced to sell less tags because of the severe drought and likelyhood of losing alot of habitat this summer to fire. Just a few days before they approved the regs, they planted a sob story in the paper about how much money they were losing due to decreasing tag numbers and drought. Do you really think that raising prices 2x, shortening seasons, moving prime tags to other less desirable times, moving the bear hunting back a month, was about hunter recruitment? Is that how you would attract new customers to your business?

G & F article on reg changes

"That makes me feel good as a resident hunter. I guess those greedy dogs at the game department really aren't all about the money" 2007 resident deer tag + License = $75 resident elk tag + license = $170 That ought to recruit alot of new hunters huh? -
Matt Bratz LOL! Did you make that name up? Either way, it sounds like it fits.

When and where will we be able to read your interview? As far as the survey goes, there are two things that bother me: 1) The archery elk hunters went through the exact same process and the Commision accepted their results with little opposition. 2) The Game and Fish Dept helped conduct and design the survey, then disregarded the results. They could have saved alot of time, money and effort by just being upfront about it and saying they were going through with the changes no matter what.

If not next year, very soon after, the central units will have 3 hunts, watch and see. Then it will be unit 8 and 6B and possibly new whitetail only hunts in units 1 and 4.
