You would think that people coming HERE to this country to find a better life, would fly THIS countries flag proudly and not the one they just escaped from. It is their corrupt Government that caused them such hardship in thier homeland and not the USA. Mexico is a land rich in natural resources, fertile farmland, and desirable tourist destinations, yet instead of their Gov trying to develope that for the good of their own people, they would rather see them migrate out of the country. Before the lawsuit, the only deer tags subject to the cap were mule deer north of the Colorado River. Now, all hunts, for all species are capped.

I see that AZ is going back to the online applications. Does anyone know if they are going to charge the fees upfront like Colorado does, or if they will go back to the old way of charging only if drawn?

IMO, the reason they oppose it because of the price difference between res / nr tags. They want to have the option to issue more NR tags if funds become too low. Follow the money.

I like mine, but you have to practice with it. You don't really need to take your eye off the target. You can see it in your peripherial vision. It is very durable. No moving parts. nothing attatched to your string. It is a bear to get adjusted at first, but once it is dialed in, you don't have to touch it again.

It is 100% legal. There is nothing from stopping you from baiting deer or elk either. There was some pics on this site earlier of a couple of nice Coues deer that were taken in the early bow season over bait.

The ranches cannot make you pay an access fee if you draw a tag, but you can only hunt on the ranch. Archery and ML'er hunters can hunt public land though. You have no say on which ranch you will be assigned. They used to let you pick a unit within the region, but they don't do that anymore. You can be assigned to a different ranch after the opening day, but you have to find a warden and have him sign you on to another ranch of his choosing.

Yes, they are reving up the PR machine so that when the large increase in prices and the butt load of deer tags they are about to issue come out, they will have some sympathy. I thought they told us their proposals for the increase in elk and deer tags was for more opportunity and had nothing to do with money?
