The reloading manual shows COAL as base to TIP, not ogive. If you are seating bullets to ogive you need to measure it with a tool such as the Hornady LNL headspace gauge.

What folding stock did you use? I was thinking about buying the folding stock option for my XLR Evolution stock. Is Hornady still making the 162 Amax or have they replaced it with 208 Eld? It seems like it's the same bullet with the heat resistant tip.

As bad as odds are in the regular draw they are much worse in the special draws. I just type in each state and go to their game and fish site and find the info about each states draw. Some of the sheep and goat raffles have as good or better odds than regular draws. Especially in states like Utah that pimp out a large portion of their tags at their stupid banquet. Plus you don't have to buy a non-resident hunting licence just to apply. I am actually way more interested in a mountain goat tag than a sheep tag.

Is there website that has links to all the various state tag raffles? Seems the it's cheaper and better odds to apply for sheep and mnt goat raffles rather than the regular draws. Hard to keep up with all deadlines.

I've always felt the guide requirement was pure crap. If I do something stupid, it's on me, that said, I shouldn't expect anyone to risk their lives to come save me. I would most likely never do it alone, but it should be my choice. The WY law is particularly stupid. I can hike, camp, fish etc in a wilderness area but can't hunt there, not even a deer hunt, without a guide. But if I live in WY I can.
