Perplexing chrono results with my 257wby...
DesertBull replied to metau's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
With my 7mag I get 3160 with 69.5 grains H1000 and a 162 Amax. I would figure a lot higher FPS with your 257wby and a 115 grain bullet. -
If it's free.....ill take three

Checkerboard state land is a different entity compared to checkerboard BLM or other federal land. State trust is technically not public land per AZ state law. Colorado allows no hunting at all on their state trust lands.

RINO, John McLame orchestrated a land trade to a foreign mining company to the objection if those having to live with the mine. They (miners) got choice land to shred. We got little fragments of land here and there throughout the state. Him and the Hildebeast are birds of a feather.

20 seems a little short to get the most performance potential. If I were building one, 24" would be the shortest I would consider with 26 preferred. But that comes with added weight so if your daughter is going to be carrying it she might appreciate a 20 or 22.

Vortex Viper HD Spotter w/ digiscoping camera and Adapter
DesertBull posted a topic in Classified Ads
$600 Vortex Viper HS spotting scope - Angled - 15-45x65 Canon ELPH digital camera with adapter I have all the original packaging and papers for the scope It has been in the protective case since day one so it's 99% as new Here are the details on the scope - http://www.cameralandny.com/optics/vortex.pl?page=vortexviperhd15-45x65 I am sure if you took the time to go through the camera setting and optimize for digiscoping - white balance, focusing, etc you can get better pics and video. I just turn it on and put it on Auto. There are some pictures I took with it in this thread http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/51701-my-235-digiscope-adapter/?hl=%20viper%20%20adapter Some video I shot with it. -

It's harder to find than a Cardinals Super Bowl Trophy. Did Remington stop making it or are they just using themselves for their factory ammo?

Hey Kaz, I sent you a PM. Thanks

What's the deal with RUM brass
DesertBull replied to DesertBull's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Agreed. That's why I was not comparing a 6.5/7mm with the RUM. If I can't get components for the RUM which would probably only be used for elk, I would consider changing my focus to a backpacking type Coues / Mule deer / bear lighter weight rifle. How many firings can I expect to get from RUM brass? -

Do not open landowner tag door. Please. -
Dallas, but much more of a baseball fan than football. I grew up less than an hours drive from where the AZ Cards used to play before they moved here. They never sold out so because of the blackout rules their games were never on TV. They always showed the Cowboys. Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Too Tall Jones, Randy White, etc. it's the only team I really got to watch. They had some epic battles with your Steelers

This Bronco's team is more reliant on their defense and doesn't really depend on Manning to out score the other team. Broncos D is legit but so is Carolinas.

What's the deal with RUM brass
DesertBull replied to DesertBull's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I was thinking of building a 300 RUM cause I want an elk hammer but not anymore. Last thing I want is a bunch of money tied up in a rifle I can't shoot. Back to the drawing board. Might go light weight backpack rifle for Coues and Colorado mule deer. 6.5-06? 7mm SAUM? -
I haven't seen this much destruction and domination since the day my sister in law destroyed an entire box of Krispi Creme's. She completely destroyed it and then spiked the box and was flagged for taunting.

Bad move. Did you switch to the Vikings, The Packers or the Bears when you lived in Dakota?
-
I moved here before the Cardinals did.

Well never mind. Palmer sucks.
