Everyone should agree that they can charge for access to their deeded land. Locking public roads is a different issue

If it is a public road (maintained and numbered) there should not be a gate on it. The rancher can fence and/or post both sides of the road that he owns and keep everyone off his land. No stopping, no parking, etc. G&F really needs to just give this ranch its own unit number and specific tags.

I inquired about one on the backpage but have not heard back yet. If he does not answer I'd be interested. Thanks.

Returning tag for reinstatement of bonus points
DesertBull replied to bonecollector777's topic in The Campfire
I have no desire to pay the $5 or return a tag. Doesn't effect me one way or the other. I just don't think $5 is s "rich guy" scheme. -
We pay $13 per application. I don't think it's asking too much to expect it to work flawlessly.

I've never been employed by a poor guy. Mostly, they sit around and eat cheetos, drink cheap beer and complain about the rich guys. -

It used to be that the successful people in this country were looked up to and admired. Now they are just scummy "rich guys". America has been Obama-ized. Now you can see why a self admitted socialist is going to be the Democratic nominee. We used to jail commies, now we beg them to be President. -
What's a backpage?

Seems kind of pricey at $150 / per year but it might be worth it. Any opinions from their subscribers?

DesertBull replied to azcoyote's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
It wasn't all that great for bowhunting but I got three with my .338 Lapua -
For the price of a top of line UTV ( or much less) you can get a used Jeep. Put a tow bar in the front or trailer it and have heat, unlimited after market accessories and a hard top.

If you don't have a butt load of time and gas money to scout unti 10 is a tough hunt. Big bucks there for sure but a lot of private property and checkerboard area to deal with.
