Is the fishing typically good in late fall? I have a tag close to green river in the book cliffs. If I tag out early it would've cool to fish this river. This is mid October.

And if they get rid of early bull rifle they will set their sights on archery and ML next. It's like what they really want is to issue a crap ton of tags and have a really low success rate. Might as well just issue camping and photography tags

I would not even bother with a bivy sack on an October hunt unless there is rain in the forecast. Sleeping bag tucked under a juniper or a rock outcropping. .300 for sure

The guys cutting off their CLA are claiming it is not cut square to the bore so it's doing exact opposite of what it is designed for. You can buy new factory TC barrels from Midway. Maybe you just have a dud barrel because a 5 inch group at 25 yards sounds like more than just a bullet / powder problem.

I drew a deer tag in Utah after 13 years of applying. Will probably just buy a deer point here in AZ .

There are some companies making replacement ML'er barrels for the T/C http://www.bullberry.com/black-powder-barrel-details.html I have also heard of guys taking their barrels to a Smith and having them cut off the CLA and recrown the barrel.
