My 5 year old is thinking about being a vegitarian
azshtr replied to naturegirl's topic in The Campfire
We should teach kids to be independent and make choices for themselves. Otherwise they will never launch. I never had the "vegetarian" issue at home, but if I did they would have been more than welcome to cook for themselves. We would have had fun cooking side by side and eating dinner together, which we always did. I would probably play up "mmm this is good" however, kind of like the movie What about Bob. (if you haven't seen it, it is very funny) -
Wow. I check a thread I haven't followed and bam! I had to go back to the beginning to see what the heck is going on. Dustin, you are clearly passionate. Try a little punctuation and syntax and you will be better received. Then again maybe not. Regardless, it's a suggestion for going forward in life. Peace out all!

I am so comfortable with my Mathews Drenalin I have no need to buy a bow yet. Yes, I shot my sons new Hoyt. I just like my Mathews. -
I'm surprised the story of the Nevada rancher has not made it here yet. http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/10/us/nevada-rancher-rangers-cattle-showdown/ While I don't know the whole story my first opinion, based on past rancher dealings down by the Dragoons, was not in favor of the rancher. From what I understand this guy has been running cattle on land he has no right to and stopped paying the fees long ago. "My dad, and grand dad ran this land" type of an argument. Why is this being looked at in favor of the rancher? Am I missing something?

That is a very nice shooting bow. I love mine.
-
I'd say the shooter will have more day to day variance than the bow.
-
Awe thats not nice! It's Easter, have some compassion… until Thanksgiving.
-
Yes, Bundy did screw up by not paying the fees. They would have still tried to run him off the land however.

To call the opposition "domestic terrorists" as Reid did today is an insult. Bill Ayers is a domestic terrorist, and a close friend to our President. The difference is huge and insulting.

And this is why the second amendment must NEVER be touched. -
If it is for the wife consider a no hammer version. It can be fired from inside the purse and pulls out easier. My wife carries the SW .38 Airweight and loves it. Edit: Yes it is the 638 as mentioned below

Bummer of a first post. Check craigslist and backpage obviously. Welcome.

Fujinon makes great optics. I used them exclusively for my professional large format photography.

Can I assume you are using a blank gun away from the dog, then slowly moving closer? Plant a pigeon, put the dog on point (or have the dog see a bird), flush the bird and shoot the blank away from the dog. Then slowly work the gun closer. I'm no expert but that is the normal approach.

I agree to an extent. If Bundy saw the writing on the wall 20 years ago and took a stand that is just now coming to a head, and if that stand was due to a behind the scenes land grab by politicians, then go Bundy. If Harry Reid's solar connections turn out to be true, then his head needs to be served up on federal charges.

Is there an opinion here or are you just copy pasting something? I can say for myself… this law put me out of insurance ( Mine did not have maternal, Im 52 and fixed ) and my new plan with the same company BCBS was almost double. My plan was a great plan except for the maternity coverage. I ended up with a higher deductible plan that has added maternity for roughly the same cost. I can't or plan to have more kids. Plus I needed to kick my son (24) off of the plan to keep the cost reasonable.

This statement cracks me up… "GSP, just a little hyper". Seriously, great dogs, awesome bird finding machines. A little hyper might be a tad conservative from my experience.

The more I learn this whole land grab, beyond the Bundy's, stinks to high heaven.
-
I started as leaning towards the BLM, the more I learn I think this seriously stinks. Harry Reid (if true) should be shoot (I love the auto correct on this… I used a bad word) canned for his hand in this. However Bundy did himself no service by stop paying fees.

If this is true there are serious issues going on. http://www.infowars.com/breaking-sen-harry-reid-behind-blm-land-grab-of-bundy-ranch/
