I just got of the phone after unsuccessfully trying to reach game and fish dept and did not hear a ring tone or a busy signal.Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that happen while they are loading draw results?

I am thinking of getting a San Carlos deer tag for next year.For those of you who have hunted the res,is their tag really worth the money?Which units are supposed to be good for coues?November or january hunt?Are there places I can backpack into?I considered New Mexico for next year but since the res is only a couple of hours drive from my home in Phoenix I can scout it better. Thanks in advance for any info

Thank you all for the info.I''ll probably try to get a November tag.It allows you to hunt units A,B and C.That will keep my options open until I get more familiar with the rez.January would be a good time to start scouting.

Coues Addict, This bull tag being my first ever rifle tag in 15 years I am pretty determined to do whatever it takes to harvest a nice bull. I started scouting last weekend and already have five mature 6 point and several 5 point bulls located(biggest bull will go about 340).Granted it won't be as easy to find them when they are not bugling but knowing the general area where they hang out should help. Wish I had a deer tag for this unit,my buddy and I saw a 28-30" mulie this weekend. Thanks, ALYUAZ

I spent last two weekends in 3c scouting for my November bull hunt.I've seen quite a bit of game in three days.What do you need to know?

Would love to hear about your bear hunt(succesfull or not) I,myself,was lucky enough to take a nice boar after about 3 days of hunting.Saw a total of 6 bears the same morning I harvested my bear.

I was hunting at about 6000 Ft elev. and the bears were feeding heavily on acorns.In several days of scouting I did not see any bears in the pears but at mid elevation I saw lots of scat full of juniper berries.

How good is elk hunting in 3A/3C in late November?I finally got a rifle bull tag for this unit after 10 years of applying.

Hey Recurve man, I got drawn for a November hunt in Unit 30A.Would you have any tips about this unit.Heard that Dos Cabezas has a good Coues population but access is questionable. Thanks, ALYUAZ
