Hunted 29 last year and stayed in a campground that had bear-proof food lockers. We were visited by a bear during the night, and we saw loads of bear sign when we were out hunting (as well as seeing some bear hunters when we were scouting). 29 is a wonderful unit IMHO, if it was closer I'd hunt there every year. I was scouting this past weekend in 20C and in an area that is BLM land someone had posted a home-made sign that claimed that "Loitering within 500 feet" of a waterhole was violating state law. I know that you can't camp within 1/4 of water, but loitering? Has anyone heard of such a thing? Thanks, Terry

Ok, that's what I thought, just wanted to make sure there wasn't some new rule I hadn't heard about. This was up near Stanton and there were a lot of unusual miners wandering around there that reminded me of the uni-bomber. One of the more friendly ones stopped to talk while we were stopped by the side of the road and I noticed he had an AK-47 laying on his back seat on a blanket...it's really like a whole other country down there.
