I've had the ED3's for 4 seasons now and don't have plans to change that (with one exception - if they start making 12's). Excellent clarity across 80% or so of the fov/great natural color/decent low light performance. The only downfall I have is slightly inferior construction and they are a bit big. That said, their warranty is great...I've had to use it once...my fault and no questions asked. Essentially these guys started out stripping competitors binos (especially Vortex) and reverse engineered using their own (and I would say better) materials. I've compared mine to every upper-end Vortex and won't make the change. My understanding of the Prime HD's was it was their first in house fully designed bino and except for the very first manufacturing runs which had problems, they are a slight improvement to the ED3's in edge to edge clarity and have a more refined finish. I haven't looked through them though so no direct comparison. I find tons of deer already with my humble ED3's. A great buy for sure.

They all fit the bill to me.

$110 skinned, boiled, sealed. Adding a plaque would cost more - but I do them myself to match my theme.

That's me! Just out for a morning hike and predator control duties.

Tumacacori's - glass glass glass. If you can get high all the better. Shady spots.

This is why 12x50's are justifiably so...the new rage. Next up for me are the 12x50 Meopta's or Euro's unless Zen Ray finally wises up and makes something bigger than the 10x.

Awesome job

.204 or .22-250 gets it done for me.

I had an hour to spare this morning so went out early to a spot I wanted to try just within the Tonto forest boundary...
I called for 8 mins with Lightning Jack, threw in a Female howl, and switched back over to the Jack. She popped over a ridge about 300 yards away and headed straight to the call but disappeared in a wash. A minute or so later I saw movement to my left and she was scanning my hill and the area the call was at about 20 yards away from me right downwind from me. She quickly disappeared again and I threw on some Vole squeaks. That was too much for her and she walked right up the ridge I wanted her to within 20 yards of the call. One 50 yard shot with my .204 was all it took. Now I have to work. Bummer.

Rifle is a Howa 270 WSM in a bedded Boyds stock with a Timney trigger. Load is a 140 gn Nosler accubond pushed by close to 58 gns of Magpro w Fed 215's. The chrono says close to 3100 fps with it. It's topped with a Vortex HS scope.

Thanks everyone. Love hunting these little critters!
