Archery when you were a kid

Hilarious story. Kids do the darnedest things. Thanks for sharing.
  13. P.s. Hammy, love the sneaky feet your wife made. Very ingenious.
  14. I am a fan of the Baers feet. I have been using them for several years and had good success. I don't like the fact that they have velcro on the top, so I buy the XLs and cut holes along the top and run a shoestring through them. That way I can slip them easily over my boots and lace them tight. I have gone barefoot on several stalks, including my javelina this Jan. But in the desert, it is a real "go-at-your-own-risk" situation. Cactus hurt. The best I have found is to take off my boots, put on two layers of socks, and then the sneaky feet. Maybe overkill, but it is quiet.

    Hoyt Alphamax 35

The 35 is a very smooth-shooting bow. You will like it if you get it. Especially if your draw length is 29" or longer, the 35 is the one to get. It still flings arrows pretty fast. With a 29" draw length, 70 pounds, it is not too hard to get around 280 ft. Good luck!

    Blind Question???

In my experience, ground blinds can be very effective on a same-day setup. I have killed a couple deer this way. Including Coues deer. I do agree with others on this thread that brushing in the blind is very important. Good luck!

    Exciting Javelina hunt

Great pic and story! Calling pigs is a lot of fun. Also, in my experience, when you call to them, the boars are the ones that usually respond first. That's one of the best ways to ensure you kill a big hog out of the group.
