So after my hunt ended my little brother in law , came down for his first coues deer hunt. I knew he was excited by our conversations we have had. He showed up Thursday night and was to excited to sleep that night. The morning produced no deer movement due to the wind blowing so hard. I decided to move down the ridge about 200 yards to glass the bowl at the bottom where there was no wind. We immediately glassed up this buck and a plan was set. I ranged the buck at 900 yards. And even though I have the rifle to make that shot we decided to sneak closer. We got to the shooting spot at 9 a.m. Where we waited for the buck to get out of his bed. After 5 hours of waiting in the sun.. The buck got up at 2. I told him to get in his gun that the buck was up. He looked at me like I was lying. I told him again and that's when he knew I was serious. Range the buck at 450 and told him to take his time and to let me know when he was going to shoot. Before I could get the sentence out BOOM he shot. Good thing I was in my glass and watched the buck hit the ground with one shot. I don't know who was more excited him or me! We hugged and high fived time and again. Congrats bud on a great 1st Coues Deer! Though the hunt was short I will never forget it. Thanks for the memories Austeo (Austen)!!

Let me start my saying times are tight in my house. With that being said two years ago I left be beloved unit of 22 to of which I have killed great bucks in to try a new unit to hunt with my pals. Last year we had good success knowing little about our new unit that we decided to hunt. So scouting started for this year and the first buck I glass up is this PIG. Spent many more days looking for him but he never turned up. Opening moring comes and boy was it windy nothing was moving except our bodies from the chilles the wind caused. I told myself if a good buck appears dont be picky for my little family needs food and that is more important that big antlers right now. That eveing I glassed up 3 bucks making there way down a rigde to a clearing to feed....... I had seen enough grab my rifle my friend and we took off leaving my other buddy and little brother to keep and eye on them and to let us know when and where they move. We cut he distance to 650 yards and i was ready to shoot with light running out but had 2 guys telling me just hold on there feeding our way at a good pace. I couldnt wait any longer so I said to my pal you on him...... yup..... first shot hit low under his front sholder that slowed him down second shot stop him in his track which made me happy because i hate seeing animals suffer or running off wounded. Not my best buck or the buck I was looking for but beyond happy with him not because he is a good buck but he gives my family food. Thanks to my little brother and by buds for helping me. the big boy is a big 4. On his right side he had a couple cheaters and some other trash. -
I held the buck the other day and was speechless. He is one of the most symmetrical bucks i have ever seen. A true giant. Bill is a good buddy of mine and when he sent me the picture of the buck neither he or I could belive what he had done. Congrats bud heck of a deer. Also Our other pal killed a real cool buck that would make a hard decision for me to kill if both bucks presented a shot just because he is so unique good buck and congrats to justin as well

Like many of you I cant get enough of hunting coues deer, dont care to much about the mule deer, and would like to hunt elk if I could ever get the chance haha. So im always in the woods or desert scouting and liiking for new spots and deer, and im am getting tired of trying to hold my camera and video camera up trying to take pictures and videos of the animals a see. I have swaros 15 and swaro spotting scope on a dual mount, im looking for an attachment or some other way of taking pictures and videos with this setup. Is there a better camera to use? Better video camera to use? Thanks for all in input -Dill
