Beaner, We like units 10 and 5B the best, but also hunt the other units that hold good goats. You are getting real close to getting a tag. The late Kaibab hunt was a ton of fun this year. We located some great bucks by using our G30 stealth cameras. HPO's camp cook and long time friend Bob Downing was very lucky this year and pulled 1 of the 3 coveted unit 22 sheep tags. Of course when we heard this at least one of us would be on this hunt with him. Kevin got the chance and they had a very memorable hunt! Since Bob lives in the valley every excuse he had he made the trip to scout. He saw many great rams and when it came time to hunt the weather changed. The last few months of the fall have been good to HPO. We were able to harvest a 205" buck on the Kaibab showing that you don't have to have a strip tag to harvest a 200+" buck in Arizona. We are noticing that the age class of bucks continues to improve. We appreciate the way that the AG&F continues to do a good job managing this big game resource in Arizona. Ryan Anderson took this buck on the 12A West Late hunt. During the late elk hunt we harvested some great bulls. One of the best bulls that we harvested was by Mark Murphy’s bull in unit 7W. Check out our website for other bulls harvested. HPO finished the year off in perfect fashion hunting Desert Bighorn Sheep in Arizona's famed unit 22. What a way to finish the season! I got to hunt with long time hunting partner Bob Downing and with friend Mark Bool. After looking over various rams Bob decided that Scarface was the ram for him. So on December 4th after getting over two inches of rain in 24 hours we took the perfect boat ride in the evening which would give us the opportunity to harvest this ram. Scarface scored 175 7/8" at the AG&F check out. It was a hunt of a life time and a hunt that I will never forget. HPO would like to give a big congratulations to John Eckhardt for harvesting an awesome bull with his Arizona Super Raffle Tag. This bull was estimated to be 15 years old and had become a legend around Flagstaff. It was time for John to put his tag on him. Thanks to everyone that helped out John on his once in a life time hunt opportunity. Someone has to win that super raffle tag, make sure you put in for your chance next year. Jeff Jones got it done in a big way on opening day in Arizona's unit 10. The goat is 18 1/2" tall what a goat! It was a great pleasure to have Jeff and his dad Merlynn on this hunt with HPO this year. They have drawn some great tags in Arizona, my guess is they will be back! Way to shoot Jeff!

Father and son Bruce and Cole drew 6A archery bull tags and after talking to team HPO decided to book after learning of the experience that we have. Most of our early elk hunts are over and I wanted to post pictures of some of the bulls that HPO clients have harvested this year. Thanks for all the nice comments on Jeff’s antelope. We had plenty of antelope to choose from this year and Jeff decided this was the goat he wanted to kill after our number one goat vanished. We will be posting a video of this hunt in a few months. With the elk hunts starting this week it will be a while before we get down to editing some footage. Those that have bonus points it is time to get a tag and hunt antelope in our great state! Stay tuned for some more HPO pictures and videos.
