    Arizona Strip

Just thought I'd add my two cents as well. In 2008 I drew a desert sheep tag in one good unit az I had never hired a guide or even considered it, but I knew this was a once in a lifetime oppurtunity and I didn't want to look back and say I didn't put myself is the best possible position to kill a ram of a lifetime. I too didn't have the money to go fully outfitted, but I did my homework and found someone who had a good rep in that unit, I supplied my own camp, and got the hunt for 1/3 of the price you mentioned. As it turned out I shot a 182 inch desert ram the largest ever killed in that unit. Nothing against the do it yourself guys because there is nothing like the satisfaction of hunting and being successfull on your own. But the facts are this, the strip is a long ways away and on top of that once you get there you might be hunting 3 hours away from where you camp. Like someone in an earlier post said you would problay end up spending the same amount of money on your own if you do it the right way.

    Freak Bull from Unit 10!

Wow cool loking bull, funny thing is just got home from a unit 9 early rifle hunt with a client and we saw a bull very similar but he was the lenght of the main beam with one horn and the other was about 35 inches, his other side was a big 5x

    Antelope hunt unit 10

I agree with Lark theres only 3 weeks of antelope season all year and you pick that time to ruin someones hunt, that is truly unbelievable. I do know of a couple wm's that would never do such a thing, but unfortunatly there are many officers that problay enjoyed it.

Bobbyo you must be a professional hunter who has always made good shots and has always found every bull right away, all those guys i mentioned were actually guides and outfitters hunting together before the clients started on the 10th. I think they have an idea of what their doing, all I was saying is if your not sure where you hit it might be safe to wait till morning, as in the case of the show it was on video so they could have looked at it and determined what to do . I do agree with everyone that they waited on the show so they can take pictures and show them recovering the bull and that's a bunch of bs, those shows are ruining hunting and that ain't right. Oh and 13 is good where I hunt it borders the Double h ranch, last year was tough though, Cameron hanes hunted the double h and shot a 280 bull (even though they said they only harvest 350 bulls or better) this year however the antler growth is awesome

Wow tough crowd on here today, I to watched the show but you couldn't really see where the shot hit, been up in unit 13 in NM since Sept. 1st guiding, 4 guys hit bulls right before dark the two that backed out and didn't push them recovered their bulls the next morning, and the two that insisted on finding thiers that night both ended up pushing the bulls and it rained before morning and they lost the tracks and blood and never found their bulls. Guess it depends on the situation, but in my opinion it's better to be safe than sorry.

    Tough Hunt

4a is kinda of slow as well first 30 minutes and last thirty minutes are the only times to here them have passed 8 bulls on water hole in 3 days

    Any talk??

Mt Cat I was just messing around, hope your hunt goes well, i'll be guiding two guys in 4a leave tues nite, if I can keep them from shooting the 330 bulls I think we should score a couple of biggins
  24. Personally I think the penalty is not tough enough on poaching in general, until we get some stronger penalties people really aren't that scared of the outcome, this stuff makes me really want to hurt these people
